Did you take a count of the vets that are offended?
How many service members have to be offended before it matters?

A lot of good men and women have died to give him the right to protest any injustice he sees, but if he can’t appreciate that and has to protest on a day or a weekend we salute their sacrifice then he dishonors that sacrifice and he gets no respect from me.
A police officer dies every 63 hours in this country in the line of duty. When is it time to protest that fact?

the thousands of veterans who've spoken out saying they don't mind the protests one bit and that this is exactly what they fought for?

There is a verse that is never used that ignorant masses are talking about.
They leave out the fact that Key was referring to slaves that took up arms against the colony for the British. So of course they wanted to send them to their graves.
So it's not in the verse that we sing as the national anthem.
Just creating another issue to be offended about.

Just because you haven't heard the extra verses at a ball game, gunshow, or Klan rally, does not mean they don't exist. Stanza 3 out of 4. Have some intellectual curiosity. It will help.

Never mention his name again
Finished.

Out of curiosity, what do the anti-protest folks think about the thousands of veterans who've spoken out saying they don't mind the protests one bit and that this is exactly what they fought for?
Oh, they'll never mention that. In their heads, all veterans think that the protesting is disrespectful. I'm as conservative as they come, but who am I to say someone does not have the right to protest during the anthem? I may not agree with it, so does that mean they should not have the ability to do so? No. It's their life, and if they want to kneel as a means of protest, as stupid as that sounds imo, then let them do it. It's not my fricking life. This whole situation is blown out of proportion by the media and by the stubborn old generation that likes nothing the younger generation does.

Obviously, I can't link thousands of veterans, but they're have been enough come out and say they don't have a problem with the protests and they support them for you to know it's not some one-off thing. But you know that, you just don't want to play ball..so let's rephrase the question..What would you say to any veteran who doesn't find it offensive?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. frick Eric Reid. He's a Kaep dickrider. You don't get extra SJW points for being second.

The message behind Collin kneeling during the National Anthem was lost a long time ago. I'm not sure why the rest of the NFL players are kneeling for.

Maybe he's not a Kaep dickrider, and maybe he truly believes in what he's doing.
I'm sure you don't see it that way, but just a thought. Maybe he's as sure of his beliefs as you are of yours.

I think everyone knows it's there and you would be intellectually dishonest to make a claim it was racist verses.
The citizens at the time considered slaves that took up arms against them as the enemy.
You mean Key who wrote the words could be talking about killing the mercenaries and slaves on the ships in the harbor who was in fact the British enemy?
Nooo say it ain't so!

His beliefs are based on the lie that was “Hands up don’t shoot”. All of the witnesses claimed Michael brown was shot in the back with his hands in the air. Then the autopsy proves they’re all liars and that he truly was trying to take gun from cop and shoot him with it. And these overpaid brats are still harping on it! It’s a dang lie!

At this point, people have to search out this information to be offended by it. Unless we're talking about a NFC/AFC championship game or the Super Bowl, you literally never see the National Anthem being played before games when the NFL is on TV. So, people at home being offended by this are having to basically read about something that happened at a game they almost certainly were not at and never actually saw themselves unless they went out and looked for video of it.
One of these days, it sure would be nice if everyone grew the frick up and simply allowed people to do what it is they want to do without feeling the need to be offended by it. This goes across the aisle.
So guy a few rows beneath me did not remove his cap at the LSU game this weekend during the alma mater and national anthem. I noticed, then went on with what I normally do, which is stand, remove my cap and sing...because it's what I want to do. That guy, whether he just forgot or because he was making some huge stand, did not effect me in the slightest bit.
Sure...I could have gotten all upset, because he had the nerve to do something that I don't do. I could have taken his photo and posted it on social media...I could have come run back here and bitch about it. Or I could have just done my own thing, enjoyed the day with my son and the win over Arky. I chose the later...the mileage of others clearly varies.

the stubborn old generation that likes nothing the younger generation does.
That has happened since the dawn of mankind, basically. I like how you describe it as though it's some ridiculous notion. You will be "that guy" one day, I promise you.
But to be honest, it's not about that. It's about show some fricking respect and turn off the SJW switch for just one day.
I'm sure you talk differently around your guy friends than you would around a bunch of women with children. Think of it in those terms. Same thing. Be different for a day and watch your language(stand instead of kneel). Then knock yourself out the next day and talk like you always do(kneel) around your guy friends. It's not a complex thing to get. It's really not.
Just stand for the anthem, for one fricking day - to honor those who served and died (blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, christians, muslims, men, women, straight, gay).
People from all different walks have given a part of their lives (and sometimes their life literally) to fight. I'd think that in itself garners just a little bit of respect to fricking stand up and turn the SJW switch off for a day. To tell those people thank you.

apples and oranges. Forgetting to take off a cap is completely different than intentionally kneeling.
Sorry, but intentional, public disrespect for our great country is disgraceful. This isn't some "snowflake" issue where we're looking to be offended. This strikes at the core of freedom-loving, patriotic Americans.

Reid isn't protesting Michael Brown, what makes you think that? I think you're confused. It's ok to admit you're wrong.
