We were in the Championship series 2 years ago. PM has earned the right to try to correct the ship. If we continue a downward trend next year, then sure. Start looking. Two things:

1. I have zero faith in our administration to make a good hire in any sport.

2. What coach is better than PM that we can land? We aren't a "try out a younger coach" program. If you can't land a top 5 coach and take him from another school, you better keep PM.

Paul Pumpers are approaching the level of O sycophants in their unending ability to deflect any criticism from reaching him.

There are plenty of coaches out there that take a better approach to putting together a coaching staff than Mainieri.

Embarrassing to pay a coach that kind of money for that product.
what does salary have to do w it. If he was unpaid would 0 wins be ok?

I'm ready for a change like I was with Les Miles. But I'd rather keep PM than end up with the Orgeron of baseball.

CPM recruits too many little, scrawny guys who are not strong enough to generate the bat speed it takes to catch up to today's pitching. Look back at the Carolina Coastal team from 2-3 years ago - that team had some monsters.

It was at his shoulders. Watch the replay.

IF LSU recruited as many players that stayed until their senior year as that Coastal Carolina team, you would complain that they aren't recruiting enough high level talent.

There is a reason they were a flash in the pan.

Except for DiGiacomo, everyone that started last night started opening weekend.

And the pitchers that got hit the hardest last night are guys that pitch on the weekends.

Injuries cannot be used as an excuse for last nights game.

Go call Beloso, Bianco, Willis and Garza little guys to their face. Cabrera Watson and Smith aren’t small scrappy guys either and have some pop. You maybe could have said some of those things with past CPM teams but this one is a bad example. They actually have a true lefty first baseman for the first time since Matt Clark.

ETA: correction Matt Clark hit left handed did not throw left handed. He is still the last first baseman LSU had that was recruited to play first base.
