James Carville, who is known for hyperbole, says he doesn’t know how much it would take to attract Emmert back to LSU but he thinks any amount is worth it.

“If they were paying King $600,000 I think they should pay Emmert $6 million,” he says.

Emmert has close friends in Baton Rouge, including LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward, whose stepson is married to Emmert’s daughter, and LSU booster Richard Lipsey, who recently returned from a wine-tasting trip he and his wife take annually with the Emmerts.

Political strategist and LSU alumnus James Carville, who also considers himself a friend of Emmert, says he has not spoken directly with Emmert about his interest in the position but thinks the 68-year-old is exactly what the university needs in the short term.

I could see it. Major changes coming to the NCAA and college athletics as a whole.

He would fit right in with the SJW clown show that is LSU. He brought all of the leftist BS to the NCAA so he would be a hero in Baton Rouge.

It really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Emmert, would it? Can LSU really offer him enough?

That being said, Emmert helped bring in a golden age at LSU. I'd be more than happy with it.

I appreciate him a lot more now than I did when I was in college. We could do a lot worse.

What was Emmert’s involvement with the asinine transgender rules that are coming down from the NCAA mountaintop?

James Carville is a classical liberal. He is from a time when Republicans and Democrats all had the same end goal to make America the greatest country on the planet but disagreed on how to get there. Do not compare him to the radical far left lunatics that have a different goal to bring America down to the rest of the world’s level.

Emmett is probably the only person on Earth who could bring LSU back to greatness as a university. We NEED him. I’ve never donated to LSU but if they asked me to donate to the fund to pay his salary, set me on on a monthly draft. TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Carville’s politics aren’t the best but he’s right here.
