I wish hope and pray that soon the old farts you’re talking about finally age out and let the younger fans enjoy themselves.

If you want an imposing stadium, this is just what you’re gonna have to deal with. If you don’t like it, don’t attend. Sit in your recliner with your afghan, gently toss your non alcoholic beers in the trash can and mute it when the STTDB chant starts. Ssssoooo STTDB!

Not really embarrassing, there were 20 or so cups that made it on the field. It wasn’t the entire student section throwing things at the right fielder. Do not let a handful of overserved/excited students ruin a big win for the Tigers.

How exactly does throwing beers cans in the field make it an imposing stadium?

I’ll take this over giving the opposing team a victory lap

This. I prefer they keep the beer in the stands but given the choice between this and giving victory laps to the opposing team - I’ll take this.

You obviously never went to a game at the Old Box. You can be wild and rowdy without being a stupid jackass.

Congrats on having a rowdy crowd 15+ years ago. Times have changed if you want a rowdy student section this is what might happen

It's nothing to whine about

Meh. Tennessee built up a pent up aggression in our fanbase after how they and their fans acted the last two years. frick their fans. If this is all we did, whatever, no one got hurt. Ill allow it

Good way to ruin momentum

LSU Baseball never needed students to show up to win championships.
Now they jump on the bandwagon and this is how they act? Throwing shite on the field will not be tolerated, and I'm not talking about Landmark security. The entire Box was booing and pissed off at the students for that stupid shite.

Not to mention yelling "He's a Pussy" in unison during the game.
We don't do that shite at Alex Box. Never have and won't start now.

I love our raucous students at Football games just as much as the next guy. But Baseball is a very different sport. And LSU baseball fans have a starkly different reputation from our football fans.
We're among the worst fans in football yet the best in baseball.
And as a season ticket holder of both sports for over 2 decades I embrace that.

Well said…

It was embarrassing and I’m pretty sure the right fielder got hit with crap that was being thrown

Agreed. Some people are acting as if the fans throwing trash on the field somehow gave the team a boost. I guess they don’t realize that the team scored before the trash throwing happened. It didn’t benefit anyone besides giving the Tennessee pitcher a chance to take a break. How did we win all of the other games without this newfound “rowdiness” that we’ve been missing?

These are the same people who think throwing some combination of the words “suck” and “dick” in every song the band plays is what made Tiger Stadium intimidating.
