Who cares.

We don't need guys that don't want to be here and will cause issues with the chemistry and culture under the new coach.

Anyone that wants out can go. There are always more players to recruit.

The head coach himself told you he was meddling until the Bama game. That's not on Stingley or Ricks (who played his heart out for us)

I never dreamed we would see him play in 2022 anyway.

You can’t blame him? man some of y’all are some fickle arse losers with no character, I’d love to see how your relationships, friendships, and work life look in the real world with that DGAF get-bent-over-and-smile-about-it mindset

But his momma said this wasn't a transfer deal! It was a legit injury!!!

Honestly, let's just hire the new coach and let the cards fall where they may. Im sure there will be a bunch of these turds who throw their sucker in the dirt because their guy is getting fired.

I have no clue, but if I had to bet, I would put money on him going to Georgia. Just feels like they're quickly becoming the go to destination for defensive players.

How about he acts like a man and honor his commitment? Can’t just jump ship and quit when things get tough in life. If that’s how he feels then he shouldn’t have signed with us to begin with. Everyone knew LSU was in rebuild mode after 2019 with all the personnel we lost. O has made things worse obviously but that’s life, things don’t always go according to plan. He’s talented enough to stay here and not lose any draft stock.

The new coach could have an opportunity to re-recruit him, but doubtful.

LSU isn't in need of a big rebuild, though. We were an offensive pulse away from beating Alabama with about half a team and a terrible coaching staff. LSU has the potential for an immediate turnaround with the right guy, and Ricks would have been a huge piece of that turnaround by simply returning.

So if he cares that little about his teammates, and can't handle a little adversity where he is, he's not going to find the grass greener anywhere else. You learn to deal with adversity and it makes you better, or you run from it, and it keeps chasing you.

The portal really is going to ruin CFB with this dramatic shite. That being said, hire a great coach and this is a non issue

The portal PLUS the no "penalty" for transferring rule change has essentially sanctioned poaching. You are an absolute fool if you don't think other programs haven't been "reaching out" (through backchannel recruiting contacts) to guys on LSU's roster. Unfortunately, it speeds up the timeline for a new HC hire because the next guy has to come in quickly before his roster is picked clean.

After watching the Alabama and Arkansas games it is clear LSU still has talent (considering many 2nd team guys and freshman are making the plays). A new HC could quickly turn the past two years of results around...if he can keep most of the roster in place.

Hopefully the new coach can recruit him back

Otherwise, whatever. A culture reset is way past due.

Correct.

I love my old coach so much that I am gonna transfer to prove my point, but I dont care to support him by playing my arse off and winning games to make him a viable commodity in the coaching world. Its like giving your best customer a set of koozies and a few ink pens for Christmas.

Well, he hasn’t really contributed much. He seems somewhat overrated at this point of his career. I know he’s a big loss in the secondary but he really hasn’t contributed very much. Give me Dwight everyday of the week!

Apparently it is bc Orgeron told him that he couldn't come to the game Saturday. That's all I have heard regarding it though

Don't agree with calling him entitled. You really want to label kids that transfer with that when we are about to have to rely heavily on transfers to rebuild?

It’s funny how our fan base does this. Considering that several key players (Joe Burrow) on our 2019 team “jumped ship” from their original teams. I don’t recall anyone saying they were “entitled” or “quitters”.

There's been so much smoke around that kid's level of commitment to this program, and I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I guess in the end, the smoke turned out to be right. Another entitled ship jumper.

At least he played unlike one and done stingley.
