Have y’all seen the rates lately? It’s down right scary and we haven’t hit anywhere near the the peak of winter. Will be surprised if they don’t can the season for everybody soon.

You can have Covid more than once. That has been proven. First thought you would have 3 months immunity and then that changed. Take it from someone who has had it. It is not really that bad for athletes with good immune systems. The problem is coaches catching it which would be bad. Also I am pretty sure the problem is being able to man a 53 player roster right now. But all of that might not matter anyway. They will be dealing with a tropical storm at the same time. I still think the game gets played however. No where to reschedule to and that game does being in ad dollars.

Hate this for the players because Im sure they all want to play.
BUT.. Music to the ears of Pelini who, coaching wise, is getting His arse kicked!!

Yeah pretty sure that number of only 15 is not in fact right. They claim that now but I know many of people that were catching something strange in December of last year before Covid that also ended up catching the virus this summer. The scientific date on this whole thing is a mess. They know for a fact the antibodies dont stay in your system. It is something we have to live with and me personally I dont think they should be blowing it out of proportion like they try and do.

Covid is a nasty disease and not to be underestimated. I know of several people, all in their early 20s who had it and while all survived, a couple required hospitalization. I also know several older people who died. Do you really want to roll that dice and see if your number comes up?
I want to see the game played but only if LSU has enough (53 scholarship) healthy players to compete. The other question is Bama, do you think Saban wants to see his players potentially exposed?

Yeah, and I wear a seat belt and drive the speed limit (or close to it). Just be smart, don't take stupid needless risks.

Some of the players on LSU's squad have tested positive for COVID 2-3 times... Guess the antibodies wear off...

Or the testing is flawed.

The positives getting retested to verify not a false positive or retested within same infection, or LSU did nothing to rule out false positives over the summer including actually confirming they also developed antibodies hoping to let it ride for those 90 days without required tests.

If not those the CDC & WHO need to come to LSU and set up shop for studies...

I have wondered if contact tracing forces out players that tested positive over 90 days ago and/or have tested positive for antibodies. It would suck if someone 91 days out and positive for antibodies has to sit out for 14 days because they went to a party where someone later tested positive.

scary? A virus with a 99.5+% survival rate for young folks, and where nearly all deaths are people over 70 with an average of 2.6 co-morbidities?

I’m surprised you ever drive your car on the roads, swim in a pool, get on a ladder, etc.

Life has risks, and we can’t shut down the country, with all the horrific consequences, over something with a 99+% survival rate.

This ain’t the Bubonic Plague.
