Nick Saban coached LSU five seasons with an overall record of 48-16 and 28-12 SEC with a national championship.

Ed Orgeron is currently 47-15 and 28-12 SEC with a national championship.

Just saying .......

Now look at the trajectory. What was Saban in his last 13 games coached? Orgeron is 7-6 in his last 13. LSU football should never go 7-6 in a 13 game span. Never. Your argument is dumb.

So what you're trying to say is Ed will go leave and try to coach an NFL team?

I can get behind that idea

Did Saban lose 19 of 22 starters to the NFL after his national title season and then try to rebuild the program in the midst of a pandemic.

He was 8-5 in 2002 so not much better.

I will say this, 2002 and 2004 were not very good seasons for LSU. We looked shitty quite a bit in those seasons, frankly.

That said it is silly to compare Orgeron to Saban. Maybe someday, but not now.

No, but he has 7 National Championships so there’s that. Which makes this statement

Ed Orgeron is Nick Saban 2.0

Absolutely absurd to say.

If O took over in 2000 he wouldn’t be on the hot seat with these results

You are what your record says you are. Comparing five years at LSU they are virtually a matched set.

Saban inherited a program that had won 7 games the prior 2 seasons combined and about 19 NFL players. Orgeron inherited a program that was averaging 10+ wins a year the previous decade and the most NFL draft picks in LSU history. But yea exactly the same dipshit.

I believe comparing Orgeron to the high school coach they hired back when, DiNardo, makes sense. Could even compare Orgeron to the boat captain in "Jaws".

But, the comparison to Saban?

Joe Burrow isn't coaching at LSU anymore. Heck, he don't even play at LSU anymore. He gone!

OK . fair enough. Their last three full seasons which were essentially their own players :

Saban 30-9 2002-2004
Orgeron 30-8 2018-2020

Saban didn’t coach through covid or the social injustice stuff when he was at LSU

I still think Ed hasn’t done a good enough job last year and the first 2 games of this year. We’ll see what happens in SEC play.
