Les Miles screwed it. We started sucking in 2013 and have only been relevant for one season since. At least O has 2019.

They all went pro dude. Seriously wtf was he doing to do to stop them. What’s crazy is that would be no big deal and easy to fix now

No he did not. We did when we fired Miles and hired him.
To coach at LSU you have to "fit" here. To fit at LSU you have to talk like the fan base, walk like the fan base and "think" like the fan base. Also you have to have an IQ < 80. The thing that Saban, Miles & Kelly have in common is that they do not meet that lower threshold of IQ and therefore they did not "fit" here.
Saban knew the writing on the wall when Mark Emert left and took the most gracefull exit.
Miles should have gone to Michigan but did not.
Kelly should have had the better judgement to come here.
This is where coaching careers come to die.

And Ryan Clark's racist arse for BLM'ing the team.

I think it was the guy before Paul Deitzel who screwed it. Had he won the natty then we would not have been in this much trouble.

If you don’t remember there were a lot of things swirling some in and some out of his control. Most had very little to do with his sex life though pictures in bed were embarrassing to the university. He lost the locker room after he went on Fox News and made some complementary comments about Donald Trump during a pretty tumultuous time with Covid and BLM protests. There were also several articles coming out by yahoo sports negatively talking about our coaches and former players with regards to rape and turning a blind eye.( all were hearsay and many turned out to be bogus.) . You also had Ryan Clark who was let in the locker room to talk and helped push some of the kids away from a team mentality and into his narcissistic world view.
All these things culminated into half the team transferring or quitting (opting out) including most of the good players. The recruiting classes didn’t completely fall off but Ed was never able to win back the locker room and keep kids from transferring so that’s why he had to go.

Because FACTS don't lie.
Anyone with brain can see what happened. Orgeron was Woodyfied
Kelly-brilliant
Orgeron-Stupid
Now look at the Trophy case
Count the l Pro Athletes Orgeron put into the NFL
Compare both Kelly and Orgeron records, prior to Pellini.

How many National Championships has Kelly been associated with?
Orgeron coached on three at Miami, one at Southern Cal, and took LSU to a Natty.
Now list Kelly's association with Championships.

We would be in this position because we would have rewarded him TOO HANDSOMELY had he kept his eye in the ball.
The contract writers would have said,
Wow he over LSU, we need to write a 40 year 10 billion contract.
It had to stop.

Why do you assume I’m a BK supporter? What a weird reaction.

Everyone told you that clown was a moron with no character or integrity. A fraud that was known as a dirty recruiter his entire career. But your fanbase defended him right up until he got fired.

Ed Orgeronn is a turd who wrecked the program after 2019. A puerile twat obsessed with pursuing his petty idolatries of bedding women. How he has anything to do with that 2019 team is one of life's great mysteries.

Somehow, you seem to forget COVID and how it changed the 2020 season. Players opted out. No fans in the stadium. LSU wasn't allowed to properly celebrate the 2019 National Championship.
Coach O was a master recruiter. Something, BK didn't do.
Of course its also easy to forget all the LSU talent that went to the NFL after 2019.
But, go ahead and blame Coach O. He may have lost his focus but losing players and COVID had more to damage LSU football.

I dont know what sport you are watching then. Top players at too many schools have been transfers for the past few years. Ole Miss built a team of transfers, LSU, Penix from Indiana to Washington led them to the playoff, Nix at Oregon led them to the playoff, Ohio State grabbing Sayin from BAMA & Judkins from OM, Kirby has grabbed great portal additions, Oklahoma, Memphis, Indiana, SMU, Vandy, more than I can name. Open your eyes.
They aren’t built from the portal. They’re supplemented from the portal. The teams that go extremely heavy in the portal aren’t typically winning much.

The onslaught of covid and the unknowns happening all around us didn’t help the situation.
It’s funny how teams like Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State were able to deal with these issues and continue on with consistency while LSU cratered.
This excuse for O and LSU doesn’t fly. The truth is O was never fit to be head coach.

Covid, Ryan Clark dividing the team, the loss of your starting QB during the season and prior to the following season and having to play freshmen is why we had two bad years. I’ll stand on a hill with this. Had J’Marr Chase, Kary Vincent and others not opted out and we’d have stayed healthy, we would have overcame Bo Pelini’s shitty defense and only lost to Bama. Then Myles Brennan getting hurt killed us.

The man put together the GOAT team in CFB history. You can frick right off.

The only things Ed handled poorly were Covid, BLM and the initial portal/NIL craziness. Ed didn’t realize how much of cultural phenomena BLM impacted his players. Regardless of your beliefs, the reality is that the great coaches recognized that it would impact the team tremendously in the short term, then fade away. Ed didn’t see it coming. Same with Covid. He created neither, but poorly managed both. Otherwise he would still be coaching today in my opinion.
