We aren't firing a 9-3 coach the year after he wins a NY6 bowl. That would be fricking stupid. What coach besides Saban, Smart and Dabo are doing better than that?

Anything less than 10 wins is a failure with this team.
This is the year that we learn the ceiling for LSU football under Ed O. Can he or can he not beat with Bama and make the Sec Championship game. After that it’s 3 one game seasons to win a National Championship. As fans that’s all we can hope for and anything can happen in one game to win or lose.
With that said I don’t believe O is being fired after this season barring a 5 or 6 win season.

I do not think it is an immediate firing situation at less than 10.
However, I do think this is the first year that we see what O can truly do. The past seasons has not been quite what he has envisioned.
2016- Interim year = finishing things off with no preparation
2017- Matt Canada power struggle
2018- Lots of new faces and offense change for 3rd year in a row
2019- no excuses: pretty much only O's recruits, offense what he wants with Brady, lots of returning players, especially first year without starting QB controversy
2019 will reflect 100% what O is capable of as a head coach.

And if he does get the Natty & the trophies BUT fails to have his guys picked 1 thru 10 in the 2020 NFL draft... well THAT would be a travesty! A clear failure to develop talent. What a damn waste!
