It can, but with less than a weeks notice in the current economy and construction market, there’s no guarantee a visiting team in town for just a day or two could line up what they would need.

My point is this. I am a project manager for a contracting firm and I specialize in HVAC controls work. Providing temporary cooling in a occupied area under construction is boiler plate language in any typical engineered job spec. I would expect to estimate this as part of my job expense on any such mechanical install. If temporary cooling was omitted from whatever is going on in their Locker Room, it was done on purpose.

Exactly, they got this equipment on standby at sunbelt rentals. I can orfer it and have it delivered to UT Austin tomorrow.

It should have been there from day one of demo.

Um, they've known they didn't have a/c and have known their schedule for a long time. No excuse to not have this ready before the season ever started. Deliberate shite from a bunch of arse clowns in burnt orange!

Well we won the game

we should ice down their locker room next year in the spirit of being "hospitable" . 58 degrees

let the hit that humidity when they walk out for the 2nd half

So Coach O calls his friend Skip Holz early last week to get the 411 on what it was like to play at UT. And Coach Holz says the locker room was hot as hell: bring some fans. Which the Tigers did.

The proof is in the action. Why haul all the extra equipment unless you expect it to be hot?

UT got busted. They should man up and apologize. Otherwise this will grow legs and it won’t be good.

Not going to read this whole thread as I addressed it on the rant.

If this is true, then I am sorry. My school who claims to be the best is just another whore grabbing money at any cost.

Sorry, still looking for more confirmation.

It already had potential to be bad for them. Player safety is serious stuff. They assured it will be a story by putting out that odd and specifically-worded statement today that DID NOT include “we are sincerely apologetic if our A/C was not working properly, it was not intentional on our part”

Texas said it's a policy in their stadium that they don't allow opposing cheerleaders on the field, supposedly for safety reasons. LSU doesn't have that policy. I've never seen it at any road game I've attended before.

Wow I had no idea that was how things went. Regardless of our policy was we need to return the favor for most every extra thing we provide to opposing team normally and just ensure they get what we got.... I didn't know it was such a cluster frick and biased behind the scenes at that stadium.

Heck, they turned off the AC's for Louisiana Tech! How scared do you have to be to do that?

No kidding! That's as pathetic as it gets.

I wonder if LSU visitors locker room has AC?
Just wonder. I’d hate LSU getting exposed as a hypocrite.

Don't know if it's been posted but here's what you're refrencing from Jacob Hester from yesterday
quote:

Something that’s been talked about a little more than I thought, because I didn’t know how much this would get out there.

The air conditioning in the LSU locker room. Yeah, look, there wasn’t air conditioning. LSU had 3 of the big blowers … to try and cool it off. … It was hotter than hot in there. ... It was actually where I was gonna do my pregame hit(?) with T-Bob and Moscona and it was hot in there. Like you didn’t stop sweating while you were in there. ... I look over and my wife travelled to the game with me and she’s like over by the blower trying to sit as close as she can to try to cool off… Those things are bush league in my opinion.

LINK ... 00:35 min

Sounds like that was before the game and seems to think it was at the very least negligent. Didn't hear what he had to say about it today.

There are too many people confirming it was true. The radio guys. The people doing interviews post game. Texas administration are arrogant bush league jerks. This is beyond gamesmanship. You could have a heat exhaustion case. The a-hole Texas fans were complaining about cramps.

20 minutes in 72 degrees. Is a big advantage over 20 minutes at 90 degrees.

Yes it does. I have been in it while no teams present. I worked with the booster group that was installing the Tiger Seatbacks several yrs ago and we used it to go cool off...

I remember it being pretty austere but it was comfy.
