You’re right. It’s completely normal for a guy to completely transform in his fifth year starting.

I agree with Morpheus, but I’ll take my crow with some cheese on it please. I hated a couple things about JD game, but he deserves major props this year. He has improved tremendously, and may be the best and most valuable player in the country.

Burrow started 2 years of college football. Apples to oranges.

I’ll admit I thought he was crazy to transfer here when we already had Myles Brennan, Nussmeier, and Max Johnson in the stable.

He gets way too much criticism for his performance last year. Last year he was still the best quarterback (save Joe) we’d had since maybe Mett’s last year.

And of course this year, he has a legitimate chance to win the Heisman, and if he doesn’t win it, it won’t be for any of his own shortcomings.

I hate these threads.

Daniels needed to improve in several facets of his game to get where he is now.

Daniels himself said it. LSU coaches said it. NFL scouts said it. Fans said it.

The fact that he DID improve doesn’t mean people were originally wrong.

I’m sure everyone thought Burrow was the best QB in LSU history back in 2018.

There are still posters who think Jayden sucks or shouldn’t be starting. Trousertrout, islandboy777 are two of this

Yeah, I was worried after the Florida State game that he would be hesitant to throw down field.

I was pretty naive.

I mean.. it does when they were saying there was no way he would improve after 4 years. I would say that’s objectively wrong.

I’ve liked JD from the beginning but these threads are beyond tiresome. Please stop.

No crow to eat, JD showed little growth against Florida state, those critics were right. He finally took a leadership step and thr next level. One he did that why be critical of him?

Two things

The failure was the simple lack of acknowledgement that he was set to make a jump coming into this year.

Secondly; it was the calling for Nuss as if he was better.

You deserve to eat shite it you said either of these things

I am so glad he stayed to become the player that he has become. He is a Heisman contender and would likley when it if the award was truly for the best player in the game.

I was not a fan last year, I did not believe he had what it took to grow from the player he was to the player we see to day.

I was wrong, and happy that I was wrong. We are blessed to see him on field doing what he does for the Tigers.
