1) Zero turnovers, create at least 1, preferably 2, Bama turnovers

2) Use as many D linemen as possible to stay fresh, contain the Bama QBs when they leave the pocket

3) Limit big plays by Bama offense

4) Control time of possession by running the ball and converting 3rd downs

5) Special teams must be perfect - no missed field goals or PATs, no big plays for Bama return game

6) Pass successfully enough to not allow them to stack the box on D

That's a tall set of tasks - but all of these must be accomplished to win

Yes.

Shut down their run, and don't let Hurts scramble on 3rd and long. Easier said than done but that's what it will take.

Aside from all of that, LSU will have to hope the football gods smile upon them on Nov. 4.

That means hoping that all those freak, random plays - like an errant shotgun snap getting away from the QB - play to LSU's favor.

1. Getting 1st downs. (manages the game, and takes the
crowd out of it.

2. 2 big scoring plays (no matter what side of the ball we
have to score 14 on explosive plays. Anything else is
bonus)

3. Zero turn overs.

4. Hit Jalen Hurts

You have to load the box and make Hurts beat you through the air. Put a spy on him on passing downs.

Game plan on offense has to be very creative and eliminate their defensive line. A lot of the two RB RPOs like we saw vs Ole Miss would be great.

Get Guice one on one in space.

You’re gonna have to have a big play or two from special teams and win the field position battle. You’ll need a kick/punt return TD and Rosenberg will need to pin them deep a few times.

Ill be there to the last second. However, Bama's second team could beat us. The formula to beating Bama is having a QB that can make throws to WR's in man to man and those WR's have to be able to beat man to man. We have neither with Chark being the only possibility.

Our OL is too young to handle the DL and LB's of Bama.

With all due respect to the poster, I love my tigers, but I'm just being real.

#7. Bama doesn't show up.

It seems Canada has been working on one new thing per week since the Troy loss.

Florida: WR Jet Sweeps
Auburn: Deep ball (to Chark)
Ole Miss: Play action to TE/RB

With Bama’s DLine so dominant, I think Canada will work in safe/quick bubble screens to get the ball out of the trenches. Putting all of these things together with a trick play or two, we might be in business.

payne will blow clapp up all night. it will look like last year. we may get shut out again. I hope danny doesn't get that same thousand yard stare he did last year. once again, they'll make danny beat em. cant have those underthrown balls on that secondary.

we need everything to go right to win. we had best load the box to stop vertical runs and bring everyone up near the line to stop their horizontal passes when formations dictate that also. make hurts beat us vertically. if they can run vertically between tackles on us then we can forget it. we will be dead to rights anyway.

Win on first down (4+ yards). It allows the offense to dictate the terms. Lose on first down, and it's like climbing a mountain.

This absolute key. We have had no run game against them and our defense wears out.

since we need to be in man coverage most the game anyway we may as well blitz the shite outta hurts when we have him in 2nd or 3rd and long. it worked for UT early until they got stupid playing cover 2 and zones underneath. we will need safety help all game either in the box OR outside to stop horizontal passes which bama is good at. we canot affors to play cover 2. we will need every man on deck.

If bama is running between the tackles OR throwing horizontally manning up and beating us and we are in cover 2 that would be stupid by aranada, bama won't need any deep passes if they are gouging us with runs and short passes anyway so cover 2 is senseless. we will just have to trust our guys in man all day.

Now to mix it up if we have them in 3rd and long and you DO NOT want to blitz i am dropping 6 rushing 4 buy have a spy playing zone watching hurts because hurts can kill you with his feet. If we only rush 4 we need to spy him. There will be no spy if we blitz. we MUST get to him then. we will get beat some but playing man is our best bet. Hurts killed UT's zone underneath and cover 2 schemes. Bama did not even need to go deep to win that game. UT basically kept their safties out the game by playing too much cover 2. they were not good enough underneath elsewhere to make up for it. it was crazy.

Man up on their wrs, pressure and contain to limit the run and Hurst's escapability. Keep them on a long field all night, moving the sticks and punting them deep. Tackle, tackle, tackle.

Quick hitting, short pass game off of motion, with the occasional intermediate, back shoulder sideline shot to Sullivan, Davis, Anderson, Moreau types.

Nothing deep unless their safeties completely sell out. Even so, the intermediate routes will suffice and be there, quicker.Roll and boot Etling and get the ball out on time, tuck and run when it's there (it will be).

Canada will have a spanking new game plan that Saban and bama have never seen. We will have a handful of explosive, wide open plays over the course of the game and we must capitalize.

Limit substantially penalties and win TOs. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
