Who is going to even interview until this is over? It won’t happen anytime soon.

If Tommy Lloyd (Arizona) isn’t at the top of the list the AD needs to be reevaluated

Do y’all not realize no one is going to want to touch this job for probably 5 years.

A guy that just got to a better program than LSU, that has them as a #1 seed, wouldn't entertain this job under normal circumstances. We might not be able to get one of his assistants to answer the phone.

This list of mediocre names is showing us what they want us to hire and get back in line as a mediocre to poor program

We’re about to get hit with sanctions and our fans are saying Buzz Williams isn’t good enough? Y’all need to get a goddamn grip.

That's what happens when the coach that was fired raised the expectations for the program. Say what you will about wade but the guy raised the standard for the program and got the fan base to care.

Buzz Williams also is 21-25 in the SEC currently and has to win tomorrow to make the tournament for the first time at A&M

I'd rather pull John Brady out of the radio spot than that list.

I’ll be surprised if the next hire isn’t underwhelming.

Grant McCasland is actually a damn good coach. His teams play elite defense. His offense is Tony Bennet slow though.

better program than LSU

Doubtful

Lsu has a basketball only practice facility and Baton Rouge is better than Tucson

I get it can be a winning style and all but it’s fricking awful to watch.

Maybe McCasland is what we will need then. I don’t anticipate us pulling many 5* recruits any time soon lmao

Drew Valentine from Loyola Chi is probably the best value pickup. They lost a lot and still beat the MVC with ease. He has major program potential. A true buy low kinda guy.

We have a basketball only practice facility that both of our coaches criticize for being poorly constructed. LSU is not close to Arizona's level.

None of those guys fits the vaunted Woodward criteria but all that goes out the window if we’re looking at sanctions

The way I see it we have 2 options.

1. A stop gap coach who is either a young lower tier or a journeyman type coach. If the young guy is a surprise then its a win. IF the journeyman overachieves, it's a win.

2. A top tier coach willing to take the job because he sees potential AND Woody overpays him.

I suspect option 1 is more likely. As a result, i suspect we have another coaching change in 3-5 year unless we catch lightning in a bottle with a relative unknown.

If I had to guess (no sauces), I would say Archie Miller would be the guy. Would be a great foray for him to get back to a P5 gig with minimal pressure. Just 2-3 years ago he was the “it” guy

Stoudamire intrigues me some if I have to be honest.
