I think you need to expect criticism when things aren't going well. And, for every poster who can't handle their disappointment and come to vent about it irrationally, you have other posters who can't handle their own disappointment and choose to argue with the first group to make themselves feel better.
Hiding the score is an aggravation for those keeping up with the game. And, it doesn't accomplish anything.
