Playing like this won't get it done in the SEC. But, the baseball season isn't won or lost in February. There's a difference between defending/apologizing and not melting so early in the season.

Already two batters too many for George. Not his fault tbh, Mainieri should have pulled the plug after the second walk. Especially since Fontenot was ready to go.

Marceaux threw only 80 pitches through 8. I get pulling his but George should have gotten the hook after the first two walks.
