I'm not sure if Crews will be there since I read he's already been added to the FredNats roster, but Kellum Clark from Mississippi State is showing on the FCL Mets roster so you may

Nats will be ready to compete in 2025. Corbin’s contract falls off after 2024 but still have that terrible Strasburg contract through 2026.

Crews and James Wood are going to be an awesome outfield pair.

Went down to the stadium and, as I suspected, Crews was not there. I talked to a couple of staff members. They said it very clear that he didn't belong. The joke in the clubhouse was that they promoted him too soon and he needed to work a little more on hitting for average.

Anyway, the scuttlebutt is that they will be patient with him, and not call him up this year. The minor league season will be over soon, and they will probably shut him down. The Nats aren't going anywhere this year, so they want to give him time to rest going into spring training.

Again, spring training for the Astros and the Nats is in West Palm Beach. Those two teams will probably play each other a few times during Spring training. Bergman v Crews...

Main stadium in background. Home of Mets Spring Training and PSL Mets (A).

FCL Nats loosening up.

I'm super fricking jealous right now. I'd love to go to Florida or Arizona and watch some of the backfield stuff like that.

It is cool. There's way more players and staff around than fans. I was talking to the people setting up the cameras, watching batting practice, etc.

BTW, there is a tremendous amount of trash talking around the batting cage. I couldn't understand half of it, because I don't understand Spanish...

ProjectP2294,

If you are a Cardinals fan, they share sprin training facilities with the Marlins in what has to be one of the coziest training locations ever - located in The Abacoa area of Jupiter, FL. The stadium is right across the street from a cool complex with restaurants, breweries, hotels, etc.

Yeah, I plan to go down there at some point. They're doing some renovation to Roger Dean Stadium right now so I think the actual games for the Cardinals and Hammerheads have been pushed to the Astros facility.

I think the FCL teams still just use the backfields instead of making the drive though.

Different but similar thing, we were supposed to go to the Arizona Fall League last year to watch Jordan Walker, Tink Hence, and Masyn Winn but the trip fell through. It's done at the 6 AZ complexes and three of them are within about 10 minutes of each other.

Yes. They use the backfields and there is very little seating - maybe enough for 100 people. The players outnumbered the fans, even though it was free to attend. The attendance is much higher for the single A team that plays in the stadium.

The Mets facility is nice, and you could walk to a hotel or bar/restaurant, it is not really convenient. Roger Dean stadium is in a sweet location next to a downtown area with an amphitheater where they have live music and you can walk up and down the tree lined streets next to the stadium. The streets are not busy, either, as the parking lots are on the other side of the stadium.

Jax may see you down there I am already penciling in a trip to see Crews and Bregman can't wait. Will be some beautiful weather down there at that time too.
