Dude it wasn't neutral to begin with. Get over it. We lost a home game this season any ways. It happens.

"So this screws over the byu fanbase by moving it 6 hours by car.." You think the 10-20k BYU fans coming from DFW and Houston plus the others that were flying into houston are now going to purchase new flights or make the 7 hour drive? While almost the entier LSU fanbase only has to hop in their car for an hour or two to New Orleans? Big difference

It was basically an LSU home game to begin with.

Maybe LSU can exorcise some demons by winning a game in the Superdome. Our program hasn't been the same since the last time we played there on 1/9/2012.

This is such BS, LSU owes nothing. This was decided by ESPN so take your check and stop your crying! I was booked for the Houston game and now will make arrangements for this game.

It's quite easy for most of the LSU fan base to hop in their car (or fan boat) and make the 1 hour drive to New Orleans, whereas with BYU fans who cannot now change their flights and hotel room bookings coming from Texas and other parts of the country, this will be a de facto home game. Y'all owe us a return game now that this is anything but neutral.

This was already going to be a de facto home game for LSU. I think you vastly underestimate the LSU fan base in Houston and Baton Rouge is only ~4hr drive from Houston. It was going to be 85/15 LSU fans anyway. Now it will be 95/5, but is that really going to make the difference?

I will agree that it is stupid to move it to New Orleans at this point given the incompetence of the current mayor and the fact that Nola could see quite a bit of rain and some flooding over the next few days. I would have rathered then pick a location that is a more sure thing.

"Certainly not me or ESPN"

No BYU (and its national fanbase)= no $4 million offer for LSU to play in this game. ESPN most certainly cares in their investment. You're just a regional school anyways so what would y'all know.

I'm sure the airline would switch flights to New Orleans and the hotels giving refunds due to this flood.

and we see the folks running this show as the idiots they are.

First of all the idiots running this show likely have access to technology the average fan (you) don't know about.

Second who do you suppose those idiots running the show are? BYU and LSU have the same skin in this so if anyone is an idiot it would include BYU AD for agreeing with the terms.

Lastly those idiots running the show happen to be ESPN and while I'll agree that their decisions lately to move toward a leftist ideology is indeed dumb, they have also built the greatest sports TV show in the history of human kind worth Billions of dollars, which will likely fall because of said ideology. With that said carry on with your rant.

Why can't you change your hotel bookings? if they moved it anywhere we ALL would have to anyway. BS argument. BYU fans HAVE no reservations in Houston, it's underwater! NOLA or Houston, doesn't matter. Call the airline and change your flight.

The reason it was played in Texas in the first place was to help our recruiting. We would have never graced your school with the honor of playing us anywhere if we had to agree to a home game for you in Provo.

You are quite wrong, it was all about ESPN and its partnership with BYU. And if LSU was all that, then why are y'all afraid of leaving the South most years to play supposedly inferior programs at the risk of getting beat like y'all did with Wisconsin last year? Its pretty apparent that ESPN sees BYU as every bit the valuable asset that LSU is because we have a bigger fan base.

I would probably be as salty as you are too if I weren't allowed to drink and my team barely won against Portland State.

This storm is the one running the show anyway. There is no easy answer here so they had to make the best of it. Storms suck but don't blame this on anyone else. They are just trying to make the most of it.

How many games does ESPN televise of your team?
