They actually have a really good set of uniforms. The gold jersey is iconic but LSU’s pinstripes not being worn on weekends should be a crime. The Friday night whites are just as bad as the current atmosphere at the Box.

I’d love to know which other stadium that was.
As the best program in college baseball and the deepest pockets (at the time) why were we even looking at other college programs?
Should have been trying to elevate the experience looking at professional venues. Instead we went so cheap we reused aluminum bleachers.

I don’t get the defense of our subpar facilities. We are a big 6 program in the sec and there is no way the box and pmac should be bottom half in the sec.

"Built on the cheap"? Skip is 100% responsible for the New Box. He bragged long & loud about how he would tour the country & come back with the best stadium design possible. He oversaw everything to do with its construction. And went cheap. CPM, on the other hand, had nothing to do with its construction. But comparing it to a brand new stadium is not a realistic comparison.

The new Alex Box has looked bland and unimpressive since it opened. Cheap metal bleachers. 3 different color seats in the grandstand. Box seating that just kinda floats above the rest of the stadium like they were an afterthought. The extremely cheap looking batters eye. Bullpens on the field. Even the light yellow/beige paint is boring. And lets not forget the beautiful construction equipment yard behind the outfield and the monstrosity that is the west side of Tiger Stadium.
Its just a cheap knockoff of the old Alex Box Stadium with no character.

Dudy Noble is in a league of it's own. Founder's Park much better than the Box. Baum-Walker a tad better too.
