I don’t think that’s a good look for LSU to do that. You don’t want to get a reputation for doing that to coaches your fire. I think cooler heads should prevail and they should work something out. It’s in everyone’s best interests.

This is the same problem companies have hiring CEOs. Once the market is set, nobody highly qualified is willing to take the job without massive guaranteed money. Look at the belle of the ball LK. Why would he take a highly incentivized K when he is sitting on a huge guaranteed money K and another program would be happy to go the big guaranteed route? If you want to go down the Landry road, LSU will not get the big names; they will have to take a chance on an up-and-comer willing to bet on themselves.

I dont understand LSU fans debating this.....just pay the guy already and move on. LSU looks as petty as Brian Kelly does.....and Kelly is set for life and doesnt care but LSU should care about their image. No coach would consider LSU if they are gonna have this kinda bullshite go on if fired.

Holy shite you must be the brightest crayon in the box bud. What you just suggested would screw LSU way more than some donors having to pay the buyout which LSU agreed to.

Now he has brought a lawsuit. This is going to make LSU look really bad. We aren’t getting any coach worth a frick now. The Board of Morons have all but assured that.
