the 2018 season. NO CHANCE at all. He will get three years because the BOS will not approve paying his buyout until after 3 seasons as HC (if then.) Some of you fine folks can bitch, moan, and complain all you want but there is NO CHANCE he will be fired after the 2018 season.

What would be best for LSU Football is for the O-Ensminger-Aranda axis to actually work in 2018.

Agreed and that won’t be popular around here. The only way he gets canned is if there is some sort of controversy or we win 4 games or less and there is a team mutiny.

LSU needs to cut the head off the snake. O is merely the lower body of the snake. Cut the head off and the rest will take care of itself.

If attendance dips and it affects the bottom line then people will pony up the money to buy him out.

This is wishful thinking by the O-bots. What a sad fall its been. They are now relegated to hoping that the BOS won't approve his buyout.

Damn, you are sure mad.

I don't care anymore. LSU has only itself to blame for allowing themselves to be in this situation from inept leadership. A total train wreck with the only obstacle being the engineer.

I agree. It would take an absolute debacle of a season for him to be fired after 2018, like LSU going 3-9 or worse. And even then, the BOS would likely hesitate. However, I do think he will be on the hot-seat in 2019 if 2018 goes badly.

My opinion is NOT what I want to happen. I just understand that the powers-that-be at LSU now wont approve an O buyout anytime soon. It doesn't matter if big contributors arrive in piroques full of millions in cash for that buyout.

It matters if those donors say that they are going to pull contributions. Again, if enough donors get fed up then a change will happen.

I love when people say things like they are 100% fact but are just merely making a prediction. If this season gets really bad, chances are high o won’t make it past next year

His buyout will be 5 million dollars on 12-1-2018. You better believe that they would fire him. If LSU wins less than 7 games and the offense is bad with poor QB play he will be a gone pecan.

I think there is too much talent across our 2018 team and we have enough quality coaching to not end up as bad as 6-6. MY opinion is based on that.

Sure, if we go 2-10 the BOS might approve his buyout. I just cannot see us finishing less than 6-6 or 7-5 actually. This Board might want him fired, but the BOS wont approve his buyout.

I think Ed could go sooner. If he can't find a way to beat Miami, Auburn, Alabama, or Georgia the best our record can be after 7 games is 3-4. The outrage of that might be enough.
