Scenario 1......
we have Boise play Auburn in the finals of an 8 team playoff.
Cam breaks his ankle first series and Boise wins by 3 in a 13-10 win.
Do you accept that Boise is a better team? IF you do you negate your argument that getting through the SEC matters.
A one game playoff does not indicate the better team any more than a September loss indicates the worst team.....what we have now is fine.
Hell, you people act as if the only reason to play the sport is the NC anyway. As if that is the only definition of a great season.

While most teams do not have National title aspirations don't you think at least 10-15 do at the beginning of the season? If a national title isn't important then why is discussed at nauseum week in week out? We are 10-1 in the toughest conference and hoping for a BCS bowl game....in a playoff we would be playinbg to win a national title.

If teams like Boise and TCU keep threatening the NC game we will see a playoff sooner rather then later.

Then they shouldn't have lost a game. It's not that hard to understand. We're at the point of the season where only 4 or 5 teams should have a shot.
And you definitely did not try to give those tickets away if you still had them.

So why do teams in all other sports get a shot with playoffs? I still have NEVER seen anyone who is against the playoffs substantiate their position with logic. It is just that it would hurt the regular season and that is purely speculation. I guess having 35 bowls as compared to 10-15 bowls 20 years ago has not hurt the regular season? And based on your comment LSU didn't deserve to be in the title game in 03 and 07 because we lost games in each year.

Seems we lost our playoff game then, or do you suggest a loss is a fluke.
If you dont suggest that one loss puts you out, why a playoff supporter?

Playoff suporter b/c that is how champions are determined in almost every sport. How many years has the BCS "got it right"? With the exception of one or 2 BCSCG there is always a team or 2 that deserves to play in the BCSCG also. I want a system that guarantess every team get a shot at the title.

How are they equal now? Don't give an arguement about equality when nothing is equal now. Some years the SEC gets 2 BCS teams while ACC gets one etc.....is that equal?

Totally different. LSU was in the running for and won its conference championship in those years. LSU has been eliminated for that this year. See, logic. It's not your bag, Baby.

I have used logic to support my position for a playoff.....you continually support no playoffs and have yet to provide one iota of logic. One year a team with a loss deserves to play for the title and another year they don't....where is the logic in that? In 2007 LSU was # 7 in BCS going into the last w/e (which is worse than our current position at #5 today) yet you have said we have been elimnated from national title contention b/c we lost to Auburn a month ago. So when we got beat by Arkansas in 07 we still deserved to be in contention? Keep arguing a point you can't win is purely illogical!

How do people not understand that with an 8 team playoff the regular season would be just as exciting as it is now, maybe even more exciting?
1-loss can still knock a team out of the top 8, but right now there would be roughly 15 teams fighting for contention rather than 4. How is that not more exciting?

Not only can you not think, you ignore posts. We can't even win our conference. Hell, my 4 year old gets that.
Have you even considered the travel issues with a playoff? What game are you going to?

It's because they listen to people like Reece Davis who state that CFB has the greatest regular season in sports while promoting the BCS lol. Why don't they flip that and say CFB has the worst post season in sports....one meaningful game and the rest are to end the season higher in the polls.

Do you suggest Fresno St was a better team than Miami a few years back. One hot week and they are champs...but noone actually thinks they were a better team. I dont like a couple of upsets deciding my champion.
Using Boise as an example, hell they beat BCS teams twice, including VT this year...but eveyone says "yeah, but they couldnt do it week in and week out"
Folks are hard to please.

So why did Oklahoma and Nebraska get to play in the BCSCG w/o winning their conference? They don't get eliminated from contention but LSU does? Please explain how that is right?

Then why doesn't the NCAA acknowledge a National Champion in Div. 1 CFB?
