Dude SFP thinking 80 bpm was a flex on how calm he is during games made my weekend
I checked my watch data yesterday after that comment and my HR never got above 80 and I was pacing all over the room

There were 2. One was off ball and could have been called, but is missed all the time.
The blatant one was right in front of the runner and 100% should have been called. It was very obvious.
Some of y'all want so hard to be the "I don't blame refs" guy that y'all just ignore obvious missed calls for some reason.
You are supporting my point. The “three, two of them blatant” point is wrong.
We lost the game to Kentucky because they beat us. Sure, if the bad calls that went against us were reversed, and the bad calls that went against them were not, we would have probably won.

I agreed with one of your points. Your other point that there wasn't a blatant block in the back was absolutely wrong.

Yeah. No shite.
We can still point out obvious missed calls that would have impacted the game.

I never made that point. If you think I did go link it.

do you know what blatant means?

two “possible” blocks in the back. I only saw one of them, so maybe the other was blatant. The one I saw could have been called, but it was not blatant.

Despite ALL this, LSU had the game but played soft defensively when it mattered
Clean up the mistakes
Play aggressive
Stop being so tight (LK)
One at a time

I think you can live in a world where a game had bad play which cost us the game and the game had horrible officiating that cost us the game.

Dude, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. You accused me of claiming there were no blatant blocks in the back. I wrote that I never claimed that. To prove your point you quote me saying that I only saw one of them so maybe the other was blatant.
Are we just ignoring that the quote proves MY point?

So you don't know what blatant means.
Let me help you out. It means obvious.
Meaning that you claim to not see it, means you claim that it was not obvious, thus not blatant.
Unless you are just incapable of seeing obvious things. Maybe you are an SEC official?

No, it means I didn’t see it. I watched the play live, and I saw one single replay that focused on one possible infraction. In this case “I didn’t see it” means I literally did not see it - legal or otherwise.
In my post to which you replied I wrote
quote:
so maybe the other was blatant
You cannot credibly accuse me of saying that there were no blatant blocks in the back, which is exactly what you are vainly attempting.

Right. Which means you are either blind, ignorant to what you are watching, or it wasn’t obvious.
I assumed you are not blind or ignorant. Maybe that was my fault.

Won't disagree with you overall, but the non call on the PAT was major...and it happened before the TO.
I think it is extremely suspect that the SEC doesn't allow for the audio on referee decisions at Birmingham. ACC and Big 12 have no problem with it.

The "never blame the refs" crowd are an odd bunch.
They're these holier than thou type that think that if the team isn't winning by 50, they don't deserve the win. Or if they played a sloppy game, they don't deserve the win. They believe that if you leave it close and give the refs an opportunity to sway the game. That it's your fault as a team and you suck. It's a very strange mentality. That probably was beat into them in recreational, middle school and high school football. By coaches who just didn't want to hear kids bitching about something they knew they couldn't control and would never change. Those refs were doing it for free or for 50 bucks a game. They don't want to hear your bullshite. I get it.........
However. This is basically a professional level football game with tons of money involved in many ways. Degenerate gambling aside.
If the sport is going to have a ruleset. The ruleset needs to be followed and evenly applied. That's not too much to ask and that doesn't make you a sore sport.
In real world terms it would be like your boss monitoring your time like a hawk and jumping your arse for 5 and 10 mins here and there. But letting the guy in the office next to you have 2-hour lunches and come and go as he pleases. But instead of getting mad and self-advocating for yourself about the unequal application of the rules. You say well, "I'm the loser for not being good enough to be the boss myself".

We don't need audio.
We need a modification to the rules that gives coaches a limited number of opportunities to challenge no calls. Has to be done before the next snap and once you use them up, they're gone.
They're using it in baseball as we speak.
The refs are there to apply and enforce the ruleset of the game. If they have so much human error baked in it that they are incapable of calling a fair game. Then we need to just let the teams play and rules be damned. The meanest, toughest mother frickers win the game.

I hear you, but what typically happens is that in most close games the losing side fans highlight every questionable, or bad, call and blame those for the loss. What they never do is look at the bad calls that went against the other team and might have balanced out the ones against them.
Another thing they never do is hyper-analyze the refs after their team wins a close game. But while they are celebrating you just know what the fans of the other team are doing.
Sometimes a bad call is egregious and so untimely that it decides the game. Those are a different category to me. The missed interference in the infamous Saints playoff game was like that.

The no-call block in the backS on the punt return was even mentioned by the TV ref announcer guy.
That, and consistent holding on Princewell, were really really bad.
Still could've won the game.
