Brennan is redshirting

Not sure what will happen with McMillan

Got some insider info on Friday. Believe it or not it’s up to you but this was from a pretty big source

This actually seems like the most sensible scenario based on what we know.

This has already been mentioned at least once on this board

I am almost certain the biggest thing holding Brennan back is his weight.

Do you know how many people claim "inside source" but are just bullshitting everybody to make it seem like they're in the know

Yeah I know and i usually brush people off that make this claim so I don’t blame you if you do. I’d rather not give a name but it’s somebody big in LSU media. Not culotta

Maybe, despite his lower weight, he makes up for it in toughness

I want to agree but I haven’t seen JB play yet

No clue what he’s capeable of, none of us do.

We put these premature expectations on players , recipe for disaster.

O is just saying all the right things like a HC is supposed to.

He's [Brennan's] too small, a LB would kill him if they met up at full speed.
maybe, but that's not the reason he's not starting. If he was clearly the best QB, he'd be starting, regardless of his weight. And there was zero indication during the spring that Brennan was the best QB.

He's simply not good enough right now.

If correct - McMillan gone then and Brennan may leave shortly after

McMillan's not going anywhere. He's in his 4th year in the program and was never a legit threat to see the field. The only reason he's any threat now is that our other two QBs aren't ready.

If all McMillan wanted was playing time, he'd have transferred a long time ago.

So much speculation...based upon what? In truth, all these “inside sources” don’t mean anything at this point. After today, the picture will start to become clearer.

Well that’s amazing that Brennan gained 20-30 pounds in the last month.

Weight is not the issue. A disadvantage, yes, but every other qb competing has his own drawbacks. I personally think Burrow is the answer but Brennan may still have a shot.

Burrow will start for a number of reasons but knowing exactly where to go with the football and putting it on the money is the main reason.

Kid is like having a coach on the field.

Best football smarts since Flynn.

In my 55 years of watching LSU football, when a younger player takes the starting position away from an experienced player, its usually a good thing.

That would definitely be a true statement if it was a different coach that didn’t have all the political promises weighing over his backstabbing arse.

This is all bull crap. They know but down want anyone to transfer. Kind of shady really.
