Does LSU stand any chance to get into the BCS title game

If Oregon and Notre Dame go undefeated?
Ordinarily, I would say that a one-loss SEC champ is a shoo-in, but, there is no way the football Gods would leave an unbeaten ND out of the title game. Oregon would probably deserve to be there if they continue to light it up...
I think some resentment of the SEC would also play a factor in the human polls - voters may want to see someone other than the SEC win a title before we go to a playoff.

Once Notre Dame beats Oklahoma, we will revisit this. But until and unless that happens, let's focus on A&M.

I think Notre Dame plays @ Oklahoma and @ Southern Cal. No way they win both of those.

Which I think will happen. That's why all of these what-if scenarios are premature. It's not realistic to expect Notre Dame to go undefeated, especially considering that they have to travel to Norman.

Go undefeated.
Wins vs these teams
Washington
South Carolina
Texas A&M
Alabama
Mississippi State
and win the SEC Championship. Then it's possible. Especially if the SECCG is a rematch vs Florida and we win.
Notre Dame hurts by not having a conference championship. And Oregon's schedule is a joke.

If those two teams are undefeated, they are in. But I think Southern Cal is gonna spoil at least one of their seasons.

If that happens, it should be ND v. LSU.

notre dame won't beat OU but will beat USC

ND still has to play Oklahoma this year, and if I remember right, USC as well

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of talk after the game about LSU possibly back in the NC. Although it's funny how we had to first win another game for that, whereas Bama's NC talk last year began immediately after their loss.

I don't see how a one loss SEC champ is left out of the title game myself.

The SEC East champ also will factor into this. If we avenge the loss to Florida in the SECCG then the one loss is not as damaging.

After A&M wins Saturday it will be difficult.

A more interesting question is who makes it in if everybody drops 1:
1 loss LSU: LSU runs the table, but plays all close games and beats FL in SECCG
1 loss FL: FL runs the table but loses in SECCG
1 loss Bama: Bama loses to LSU in a close game
1 loss Oregon: Oregon splits with USC; they win in the season but lose in PAC12CG
1 loss ND: ND loses to Oklahoma but beats USC.
Would Bama and ND be the best 1 loss teams?

The ducks won't beat USC twice and ND will get beat by and OU. If we win out...we are in!

No.
We will have beaten #3 (USCe), #18 (A&M), #1 (Bama), #12 (MSU), and #1 (UF - SECCG possibly)

In your scenario, a one-loss LSU SEC Champion would have to get in over a one-loss Bama, who would have lost its division and conference. The other team is up for grabs. Don't think LSU/Bama rematch would happen, so I would say one-loss Notre Dame, OU or Oregon.
