Yes, just like #20. I think you can "honor" other numbers without retiring them.

t’s crazy to think that they would retire the same number that Jordan Jefferson wore
It's crazy to think that both Rickey Jefferson, and Justin Jefferson attended a school whose fans continue to bash their big brother. JJ did the best he could the entire time he was at LSU. Get a fricking life and stop bashing former players.

I'm good with retiring that number now!

Plus Burrow will have his Master's after this semester. Further separating himself, not just athletically.

Don't think you can afford to take a single digit out of circulation. Croots like the single digits.

Absolutely. There has been 13 LSU jerseys retired and his should be retired as well if he wins the Heisman.

Well what exactly is the criteria? Should Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn have their jersey over Bert Jones? Should Glenn Dorsey's name not be on the wall. Charles Alexander. Johnny Robinson who was o on the 58 team along with Cannon, etc. Dalton Hilliard? Tryann Mathieu?

Again me personally, I am more for and LSU wall of fame with names and their jersey number honored, not just retiring a select few players.

Only problem is that it might confuse people whom think that we retired Jordan Jefferson's jersey

At some point, yes. Might not be immediately, but I'm sure it will happen.

If he is on the stage on Dec 14th. Yes, after the season you retire it....probably the next home game in 2020.

ya know....being that we haven't won but one single Heisman before......i think this merits a retirement of his jersey/number.......end of story....

I’m of the opinion that retiring someone’s jersey should only be for the elite of the elite. Retiring a number should, obviously, be even more selective. Decisions like this should be made years after the player has left, after the emotional high has gone away.
