My guess would be YES!

#4 LSU vs #2 Georgia looks so much better!

This is all we have at the moment. Depends on how the teams in front of us play.

When you’re in the top 5...you’re pretty well stuck where you are unless you

a) beat another top 5
b) another top 5 loses

See clemson’s Shitshow for proof.

Beating a ranked #22 Florida in Florida would boost their chance to jump....the teams ahead of them have cake walk games

OU dropped after Army took them to overtime.

Unless someone ranked ahead of us loses, then no. As another poster stated, generally speaking, once you get into the top 5, you aren't jumping anyone unless you beat a top 10 team or someone ahead of you loses. And if you look at how many points we got in the AP poll, Clemson is still significantly ahead of us even with their early season struggles against A&M and Syracuse. But I really don't see Alabama, UGA, Ohio State, or Clemson dropping unless they lose.

Why does it even matter? We jump to #2 and #1 if we beat UGA and Bama. Or we fall if we don't. Next week makes no difference. The only thing we have to do is win. Rankings will mean nothing.

If we have a big win and Clemson struggles again, I think we'd likely jump them.

Probably not. Unless one of the other 4 lose. Now, if we beat Georgia, we’ll be at 2 going to State and Bama.

Not unless it is a blow out. Or someone above us loses. We still have zero respect nationally.

I would not worry about it if I were you. If the committee released its rankings this week. We would be no worse that #3. And if we are undefeated after Georgia, the committee would have us at #1. As it is, I don't think the committee is releases its first rankings until after the Bama game. Where if we are undefeated at that point we would be #1 in all polls anyways.

Doubt it, but knocking off #8, #7 and #22 in the first 6 weeks of the season can't hurt our chances.

At this point, top 5 is top 5. The schedule will sort that out.

They aren’t moving us up unless one of the four lose or we beat Georgia and or bama. We have to kick the door down. Florida will be a tough game but I don’t think it will gain us any votes. OU nearly lost to Army. Army. Clemson struggled with Syracuse. If u don’t drop from the 4 spot after nearly losing to army when the team below u has two top ten road wins, then the writing is on the wall. We just have to win.
