The majority of football fans support the team and coaches. There's a few loud mouths that shout out the same cliche criticism that then gets repeated by other guys who don't really know what they are talking about.

This is funny and pretty accurate. Some morons think it make them look knowledgeable to be negative. Other morons don't want to be left out so they parrot what the "knowledgeable" morons said to them.

The day we don't have ridiculously high expectations is the day we begin the slide down.

I think y'all are defining fair weather fan differently than me. LSU fans might be the whiniest, bitchiest fanbase in sports but the deep passion is always there

Bull$h!+...
During the LSU / Alabama BCS title game two years ago in
the Superdome, LSU fans sold their tickets to Bama fans in droves. Don't give me that "needed the money crap either" You could have sold them to tiger fans. Had to sit there with thousands of pumped up, overweight, drunk gumps and watch the debacle. You chicken shitters know who you are.

Let's see- Auburn, two years removed from a national championship in football, barely cleared 50k in actual attandance against New Mexico State last year.

That is the textbook definition of fair-weather.
Ever been to an Alabama home game during the final few years of the Dubose and Shula regimes?

Just because they had tickets doesn't mean they were LSU fans. Corporate tickets aren't always given to LSU fans.

LSU fans can be pretty wretched in this regard, but both Texas & Tennessee say hey 's up

From my experience, Texas has the largest percentage of fair-weather fans. They disown that team when they are not winning. They assume, maybe correctly, that they should never lose a big 12 title.

My dad always said, "Those that speak the loudest have nothing important to say. It's the quiet ones that matter."

This isn't a reflection on the LSU fanbase as much as it is a reflection on the people that had tickets to the game and wanted to turn around and sell them for 3 times the face value.

It is certainly a reflection on the LSU fans who sold their tickets to the necks. Like I said...they know who they are.

no, Miami, USC, and Notre Dame have far larger "fair weather" fanbases. LSU just has a small segment of incredibly vocal retards.

Wrong.

We are not "fair weather". Jesus that's so wrong I'm freakin pissed you said that. You're clueless!

Go see UGA or a hundred other schools to find "fair weather". Frick you for saying that shite.

Are we the most negative? Possibly. But NEVER are we fair weather. I don't know a single person in the entire state that ever misses watching a televised LSU game. I've been everywhere and lived many places, you just pegged us COMPLETELY WRONG.

Maybe all schools fans are like ours, but honestly we have some of the worst fans. Its really sickening how one minute they're probably decked out in LSU gear talking shite and the next they are wanting all coaches fired and bad-mouthing our own players.

Hill has gone from "the greatest back in LSU history" to some schmuck who pumps my gas when I visit New Jersey.

I remember why I stay away from this place now.
