re: Does losing Dare change your outlook for season?

Not really. I wasn't sold on him playing the whole season anyway. Just let the next guy get his reps and be done with it.
This.
The guy has never played a full season at LSU because of "off the field issues" (suspended for games in 2018, 2019, and 2020). It would have been foolish to count on him doing so in 2021 (though I'm sure the coaches did everything they could to try to prevent that inevitability from occurring).
When engaged and on the field he was a solid player. So it doesn't help to lose him. But I hope the coaches were not 100% counting on him to be available all season and I'm glad this happened now so the team can plan accordingly.

Dude was below average - not a loss at all

mr. pancake is gonna pancake now

I actually thought Cam Wire played pretty well all things considered and Dare was in and out of the lineup anyway despite his obvious talent. So no I’m not concerned plus I’m confident in Brad Davis being able to figure something out

We’re fricked. Sky is falling. Just ask Pirate.

I didn’t feel good about the OL before. Now I really don’t.

If we were relying on dare we were already in trouble.

If it’s gonna happen I’m glad it’s now and not in the middle of the season. They will be okay

Nope. He was a below average LT. never lived up to his potential

The sad thing is he’ll be a hot commodity in the transfer portal and be eligible to play against us right away. Not really fair

Players that you can't COUNT on are useless as lips on a chicken.

It's definitely a concern regarding depth, but Wire outplayed Dare last year.

He’s not the last one to get the boot more to come

It changes mine. That is a dominant SEC left tackle. Huge blow.

Very replaceable, outstanding physical specimen but lunges too much in pass pro.

What game was he ever dominant in??

He nearly got Burrow killed in the opener 2 seasons ago and blew a bunch of assignments last year. We’ll be fine without him.

Actually yeah, we needed a complete healthy OL group if we wanted to compete for a championship.

No, we already have the most talented team in the sec
