Hell of a place to make your first start.
Could wreck the kid's psyche for the rest of his time at LSU.

Bama is going to stuff the run and make Max run for his life if we play Max.
Nuss is decisive and quick on his feet.
I definitely feel more confident with him in the game at this point.

Might as well. Johnson is a different QB this year. Too much to be responsible for and he is clearly confused. His deep balls are floaters now, he’s just not playing aggressive. Nuss might be a better choice right now. He’s going to be aggressive once the ball is snapped.

Nuss seems to play with much more confidence than Max. It probably won't make a whit of difference on the road v Bama, but who knox for sure?

The could happen with Max as well. We're playing Bama, sir.

I would play them both. Considering how the offense is going , we at least need to see what we have in other quarterbacks.

Play him. He’s going to make mistakes, but you have to take risks to compete when you are not as good as other teams.

Just play him. He appears to make the offense more of a threat when he's in. First start on the road vs Bama isn't ideal, but if we play Max we have already accepted that we will lose before the before the first snap even takes place.

This. Do you want a repeat of the Jarret Lee situation? He’s not ready for Bama.

Start Johnson at Bama, then Nuss the other games. There’s nothing positive coming out of him getting pummeled in Bryant Denny.

Tua was a true freshman who came in the national championship and brought Bama back to win against a great Georgia team. If you have IT, then you have IT. Regardless of position, age, class, etc.

Not a good idea to start a freshman in his first start against Alabama. Remember Jarret Lee?

Nuss is not Jarrett Lee

exactly the type of comments that you'd hear during the Hallman/DiNardo era, pathetic, if you can't get hyped to play once you suit up in that uni, touch that bar, and run under those goal posts then we're getting the wrong kids

I don't know if Bama is the right game to throw Nuss to the wolves by starting, however, if offense is stale (as it probably will be), let him have a couple of series, not just late in the 4th Quarter with the score out of hand...

Sure why not -
Nuss, Nabors, BTJ, Bech, Mashburn, Kiner,
Dellinger, Bradford, Makanaeole, Martinez, Dumerville.
