Before the season I would've said he might've been drafted late or even been an undrafted FA, but the way that young man has played this year it's hard to imagine his draft going much higher than it is right now. I know we have TDP and Emery (and hopefully Evans coming in) but it'd still be Clyde's job if he comes back.

Heard them saying on the broadcast that he is exactly what NFL teams are looking for these days. Tough runner and more importantly dude blocks his arse off.

ETA: And can't forget his pass catching skills. He definitely showed those off on Saturday. Could not be happier for that kid.

My guess is that his size will keep him from being a high draft pick. So, the question is whether he wants to chase his dream now or not. I think he's a 4-7 round pick.

I have nothing to base this on, but for some reason I just feel like Clyde is the type of kid that will come back.

And you are right, Clyde will have a very long career as a 3rd down back in the NFL. He will probably go in the 4-5 round range.

I don’t see how his stock doesn’t get any higher after this season

He should leave now and cash in on his and the teams success. There are no guarantees for next year and we have very talented backs that can help transition for his loss. I fully expect us to lose the following juniors:

Clyde (replaced by Price and Emery)
Shelvin (replaced by Ika, Evans and Guillory)
Delpit (replaced by Brooks)
Fulton (Replaced by Flott, Ward, Hampton or Ricks)
Jefferson (pick a freshman or sophomore WR. Tons of talent)
Moss (Replaced by Gilbert)
Lewis

This recruiting class and last years class will be perfect for replacing these losses.

that doesn't exist any more. Might come back but not while passing is so easy.

Not specific to Clyde, but I believe that many LSU juniors saw what Seniors did for a Clemson team last year and came back. We can see what senior leadership is doing for this team.

Hopefully it will start a trend and slow don the junior exodus.

I’m not sure he has the pro hype to be a day one or two pick. Which is unfortunate because he’s one of the best nfl style backs in college. If he comes back he’ll have the preseason hype to go high in the draft (round 2-3) if his season matches this one. May be worth the investment to him. As of now I’m guessing he’d be round 4-6.

I certainly hope he comes back, but I think his stock will be the highest it can be at the end of this year. If he wants to go to the NFL and cash in, do it! He has certainly earned it this season.

CEH can play the game. He’s pound for pound one of the strongest players on the team and he’s durable. I don’t think his size is as big a factor now that he’s shown he has a unique skill set. He’ll play in the NFL.

I’m guessing he stays. He was great Saturday though. How many times did he squeeze out extra yards on 3rd down to convert? He’s solid, I just have a feeling he stays

He's not going to improve his draft stock by coming back, but he's not likely to go before the third round regardless.

If I were him, I would leave early. But I hope he stays.

Even tho I and everybody else wants him to come back his stock is as high as it’s ever been he’s shown the whole country that he’s a Top 5 back in the country so I think he’s leaves think about all the attention he’s getting after this Bama game I think he’s gone

He worked his way into the 2nd or 3rd round Saturday night. Teams want a Kamara, Sproles, or Cook style running back.

You could argue it’s almost better to be a middle-late round pick as a RB, given how short the life span of that career is, you want the shortest first contract is possible.

That’s assuming a lot in terms of how his career would pan out of course.
