well I knew Bama wasn't a top ten team from the beginning, and yesterday proved it.
Now, usually that happens for a half, and then they end up playing good enough to win ugly, but Vandy managed to hold on.
So don't judge Bama just on the Vandy game - they're a top ten team and will make the playoffs.

I was heavily downvoted for thinking the same. I HOPE I’m wrong, but I see losses to OM, Bama, and at least one more. Vandy, Arky, aTm, and OU have all proven to be tough.

If another WR emerges and we could develop a running game look out! Plus side we have Bama and Ole Miss at home, Negative Atm is going to be really tough at Kyle.

It doesn't really matter if you are a "top 10" team now. All you need to do in this new era is make the playoffs. "Playoffs!!!" ~JIm Mora.
We can beat every team left on our schedule or lose to them. My only worry with this team is the defense. Our team goes as far as the defense allows us this year. TBD if we make playoffs.

totally agree. I know it's hard to buy in but I'm starting to see things turn for the good defensively and I'm actually encouraged. Now Ole Miss is a different animal they are better than any offense we've seen.
But I think the same could be said for them. We are by far the best offense they've seen. So we just ain't good enough to do what Kentucky's defense did to them, hard to say but true.
But we can do much better against their D than anyone they've played, so let's get out there Saturday with our improving defense and an offense much better than any they've seen and LET'S frickING GO!!!

Save yourself the time. I’ve already done the research…. There are not 10 other teams in the country that are better than LSU this year.
Are we a typical “Top10 team” in most years?… probably not. But this particular year, at this point in the season, we are one of the Top10 teams in the country, having played one of the toughest schedules in the country through 6 weeks.

Everyone can be beaten this year, they ismt a dominate team like the Lsu and GA, Bamas of the past. I say 13th is a good ranking. If we play our best fb we can score with the best. The defense can actually get a few stops during a game this year. It still isn't fun to watch like the 2011 and what were use to. It's weird that we don't have a dominant defense. It's hard to stomach. But if we play a bad game we can lose to anyone also. #GEAUXTIGERS

If Vandy losing to Georgia State, then a couple of weeks later beating Bama doesn't tell you that nothing will.
And Mississippi State who may be the worst D-1 team in the country hung with Texas for 3 quarters so I'm not ready to crown them either.
