Is the team going to a better bowl or not?

Is this recruiting class ranked higher than last year's or not?

You can only deny the obvious for so long.

What exactly is it?

After the 'Bama loss, I heard that LSU was going to go 11-2 for close to a month.

Until they're signed, they're not signed.

Orgeron has a huge recruiting class on the line. He's reeling them in. Until they're on the metaphorical boat, though...

You understand we lost to Troy and State by 30 last year, right?

You understand last years recruiting class was the worst in 15 years, right?

We haven’t improved from the baseline. We’ve improved from an abismal 2017.

if We don’t win our bowl well end up in the same spot we were last year

If we win we’ll be top 10 but still 10-3

It’s 10-3

Moral victories away but they didn’t win us any championships when Les was here.

Won’t win us any under O

I get what your saying, but I also get the other side too. The record is the same. The offensive production is the same and we had a top 10 class in 2017. We need to see some better results next year which I believe you have said on occasion as well, ben.

There is no baseline. Coach O is going into his third year. Nothing more nothing less.

First, no -- not yet, it's not. LSU has 0 signed players right now. Early recruiting period is the 19th to the 21st.

As for 'improvement' -- last year's class was ranked #14, the worst since 2011/2012, which was the worst since 2005.

Refer to my earlier post. Coach O is going into his third year.

No there is a baseline

We have averaged 10 wins 3 losses for a decade

That’s the team he took over

Sorry but O doesn’t get judged in a bubble. He took over one of the best teams in the country, not just a team.

Let’s just got 9-3 every year and hope that’s good enough for a good bowl.

Are you going to judge O on LSUs standard or LSU on O’s.

You've argued otherwise multiple times in this thread, Ben.

You’re lying again, Ben. Why do you feel the need to constantly lie on the Internet, Ben? Do you think it makes you cool?

Give the man the same consideration that you'd give any new coach coming in here. That's it. You let your anti O bias show with every post. There's no way that anyone would mistake any of you for an objective person.

We hired him to improve the team and 30+ games in, we aren’t better than we’ve been for a decade.

And we were good for a decade but we fired 10-3.

We’re the same team that leaned on the defense till it broke and won most games by just being more talented.

I liked Miles. I thought He was a good coach. But we clearly plateauxed at a 10-3 team.

And here we are trying to celebrate that?

2 years in Kirby got UGA to the championship game.

2 years in Herman has Texas at 9 wins in their conference game. That’s a team that hasn’t had a winning season since 2013, and hasn’t won 9 games since 2012.

I also Don’t get how you ignore that O had a head start on both these coaches going into his “first year” that’s almost an entire extra season to start working on recruiting, culture etc...

I get the argument you're trying to make. But I'm sorry man. Those courtesies typically extended to a new hire just don't fly in this case. I understand the fans who don't want to hear the excuses anymore. When your whole pitch to get the job is that the ball is still kind of/maybe/perhaps slowly rolling here after years of sustained success and I'm just the guy to tweak things and steer it in the right direction, you aren't just a "new coach". He sold himself as a "right the ship" coach. Not a "just kidding. we've got to build a new boat" coach.

I'm not saying it's completely fair, but he set himself up for these expectations when he promised what he thought was necessary to get the job. 9-4? 10-3? Don't care. Not good enough. That's the level we were supposedly trying to rise from with Miles firing.

He didn't just come in here. He has been on staff here since 2015 and head coach or acting head coach since 2016.

I will be objective. O has been responsible for game day results since October 2016 and we have suffered nine defeats and haven't produced an offense better than what we had in 2015 yet. Another objective comment, we haven't played worse against Alabama in twenty years.

But its been a great year.

this is also the best team Alabama has had in 20 years.

I have been around and watching LSU a lot longer than you.
that's the reason I have held judgement until 2019.
