The ONLY silver lining is if this helps him become a one term governor.

His actions have energized a lot of people with a lot of money. People that helped him get elected. There will be a credible, well funded Republican (that is not retarded) stepping forward soon.

I got the news Saturday around noon Kelly would be fired. In that same text it was stated Woodward is on the chopping block but if he kept his job he would t be near the hire. All this was done before Landry got involved. Everyone calm down and stop panicking for the love of god. I swear you people love anything negative.

What shitshow? Getting rid of a subpar coach and an AD who screws up his greatest responsibility? This football season has been a shitshow. This is the treatment.
Dude come on. Why is every other school able to fire their coach without the governor doing a media tour on espn?

This is the best thing that's happened to LSU since 2019.

The Woodward stench is finally removed from the university. Now get a new basketball coach and we're back

Thats the thing, he put himself into a situation where he can only take the blame and really get no credit It was a wildly horrific move for a politician

If LSU football loses Landry is going to take a lot of the blame, warranted or not.

If LSU football wins Landry will receive credit above zero but not much higher.

So what? Half the time a coach is fired the fans claim it's a shitshow and there's crying about ADs, boosters, etc. This is a bunch of nothing and so many on this board are in hysterics. They need some Pamprin and a couple glasses of chardonnay.

Are you saying he screwed up hiring Coach O? The coach that put together the GOAT college football team?
He didn't hire Orgeron. He hired Jimbo at A&M and Kelly here.

Maybe Woodward did need to go
He did. Woodward has given away $130,000,000 of other people's money at his last 2 jobs.

A week ago I would have said you are crazy. 2nd term a lock.

But this is now a knife fight between the country club republicans and the trailer park republicans.

This will follow him around the rest of his life. He has lit himself on fire and will be public enemy #1 and HATED by LSU fans from here on out.

He is too stupid to know, but he will realize it at some point.

Yes, that's why I don't think he's going to meddle in the actual hire.

It’s all about optics. His political instincts aren’t good. He was ruthless enough to become governor, but his good will is about to be exhausted if this hire fails. It will be interesting to watch it play out
