I missed my cousin's wedding in 2009 because I went to Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. He was not upset.

I skip any wedding, reunion, event, etc that is inconsiderately planned for one of the few weekends in the year when I get a day off of work.

"Oh, it's a 3 day weekend, which will really help everyone come to our wedding". No you inconsiderate prick, people want to be going to the beach and shite, not your wedding. End Rant.

What the OP is saying, it seems, is that he now has every Labor Day weekend forever committed to this damned family reunion. Jeez, some family.

I'm a groomsman in my cousin's wedding this December, which was wisely scheduled the Saturday after the SEC championship game...however, if we have a Heisman finalist, I would damn sure skip that wedding to see it!

He also scheduled a damn honeydo shower on the day of the Alabama game...My reply was "absolutely unacceptable." Needless to say I'm not going...and this is the same guy that I shared my season tickets with for years!

Yeah I won't be making any of those reunions. They will get over it.

I'd miss my fiancee's wedding if it was scheduled during an LSU game.

Two men having sex during a musical starring Cher is less gay than this.

Nobody I know plans shite on LSU football dates.

If they did, Im not close enough to them to mind skipping.
With that said, I dont care about half the home games we play anyways... I wouldnt lose sleep about missing a nrtwestern or 1130am uk game.

My wife went in to labor during the 3rd quarter of last year's Bama game. Voicemail from hospital said it was a boy.

No, my friends and family have enough sense not to plan things for game day, much less a HOME game day.
