Do you skip out on weddings, reunions, parties, etc when LSU is playing? Or do you suck it up and go just to keep the peace?
I skip any wedding, reunion, event, etc that is inconsiderately planned for one of the few weekends in the year when I get a day off of work.
"Oh, it's a 3 day weekend, which will really help everyone come to our wedding". No you inconsiderate prick, people want to be going to the beach and shite, not your wedding. End Rant.
What the OP is saying, it seems, is that he now has every Labor Day weekend forever committed to this damned family reunion. Jeez, some family.

My family used to do this to me all the time before I wised up and abandoned them.

I'm a groomsman in my cousin's wedding this December, which was wisely scheduled the Saturday after the SEC championship game...however, if we have a Heisman finalist, I would damn sure skip that wedding to see it!
He also scheduled a damn honeydo shower on the day of the Alabama game...My reply was "absolutely unacceptable." Needless to say I'm not going...and this is the same guy that I shared my season tickets with for years!

Yeah I won't be making any of those reunions. They will get over it.

Even if true, why admit it?

I'd miss my fiancee's wedding if it was scheduled during an LSU game.

Two men having sex during a musical starring Cher is less gay than this.

Nobody I know plans shite on LSU football dates.
If they did, Im not close enough to them to mind skipping.
With that said, I dont care about half the home games we play anyways... I wouldnt lose sleep about missing a nrtwestern or 1130am uk game.

My wife went in to labor during the 3rd quarter of last year's Bama game. Voicemail from hospital said it was a boy.

Last time I had to do this was against La Tech in 2009 during my cousins wedding... Brought my clothes and left just in time to get there for Kickoff

Proper planning gentleman. Planned my own wedding. Coming up in about 10 weeks. Saturday Oct 29th. Open date. Hell I want someone to show up.

No, my friends and family have enough sense not to plan things for game day, much less a HOME game day.
