Do you know anyone who is even the slightest bit optimistic about basketball next year?

Outside of the trolls on here and the couple media people whose schtick is to have a contrarian opinion have you actually spoken with anyone who thinks we have a shot at being good next season? I speak to a lot of people about LSU basketball and have not run into anyone who has a positive outlook.

Maybe the most almost positive opinion I’ve heard was maybe if we spend more money we could win a few more games.

Right now, the mood of most basketball fans I talk to is very similar to the week after Ben Simmons year. The main difference is that year we had a talented team coming back, but everyone was very down on the coach because if he can’t win with Simmons, he’ll never win.

We won’t have many decent players coming back and our current staff can’t be trusted to evaluate talent and bring in SEC caliber players. Next year is shaping up to be a disaster.

There is no logical reason we shouldn’t make a coaching change ASAP.

I hear the new water boy is talented. Keeping our guys hydrated will give us an edge in a few games next year. The team will be noticeably improved in 2026.

This cycle is the same under McSuck

Bring in a nice class....but the previous years transfers are gone, along with the freshman who bolt. Then the incoming class has no one to turn to but themselves. They cant do it alone

Example next year

Carter gone
Miller and Chest -- Peace out

Incoming freshmen WITH Miller and Chest could be a nice core....but alas, next years freshmen will be playing with a 5'8" guard who was 2nd team all MVC

A slight reason for optimism is that our NIL money is being tripled.

Great. We can pay the next Dji Bailey another $450k or ramp it up to $750k

I truly feel bad for whoever is contributing the NIL boost for the hoops team. They are virtually throwing away their money.

Yep, I agree… I think McFraud has already stole enough from LSU.. why give him more for failure again… he’s already bought a BRINKS truck with the money he’s heisted from LSU…

I'll continue to challenge LSU fans to pressure McWoodward to reconsider his faulty decision to bring McHallman back for another season.

Nope and there is absolutely no reason to believe next year will be any better than this year.

its not complicated.

buy better players. that's it. do we somehow think that's not possible? seems pretty simple. you don't think they can buy better players?

Even if they get better players you still have the shite coach, and I don't trust Mcloser to evaluate talent because the past 3 years shows us he doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to evaluating talent!

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!… actually with the announcement of new NIL money going to bball next year I’m optimistic. That’s the only thing that matters in college sports now.
