I had two great uncles that lettered in football in 1896. You could not stop them, you could only hope to contain them.

My dad's first cousin is Roy Winston who played on the '58 championship team. He played for Minnesota Vikings for several years back when they lost a lot of superbowls.

My bro kicked behind Wade Richie. I know I know, back up kicker, not much to brag about. He did however get blindsided by Booger M. during kickoff coverage practice and therefore received a concussion. I remember him calling my mom (before going to the hospital)and telling her he didn't remember driving home.

i i'm a distant kin of Jerry Stovall. Also related to the Gandy and Stovall brothers that played on the 1908 undefeated championship team. They were from Winnfield. Uncle Jerry for you who do not know was from West Monroe.

My dad was an all-SEC center for the Tigers under Coach Mac. And somehow I ended up being fat and lazy. Go figure.

My grandfather played on the first baseball team to win the SEC at LSU. According to him and newspaper highlights of the time he was the first freshman to hit .400 also. At the same time he was captain of the football team. I miss him dearly, he was and always will be the example of a fine human being to me.

My dad played football at LSU in 59 and 60 but not varsity, JV. Unfortunatley he got into some personal problems and transferred to McNeese. He did however go on to help them to a perfect season and was all confrence running back.

Me I just love sports, love playing them, but have absolutley no talent in them.
