Third and long is a catch 22. If we decide to bring a blitz package and it backfires, we as fans would be pissed. The same goes if we go conservative and still get burned. It all comes down to playing the percentages and that means playing conservative. If we have a good enough D, it will all workout. There really isn't an excuse to give up 3rd and longs.

Boise state, Utah, even Hawaii,,I say Hawaii because I would have to believe if they became part of the Pac 10, that they would be able to recruit better. On the downside, as Larry Scott indicated, he would have to look at a potential university's academic backgrownd first because he sais that is the most important criteria

The new Pac 10 Commish. impressed me. He understands his conference very well and also understands the public's perceptions of both the big 10 and sec. As the facts show ( and i hate to admit it) but the pac 10 has a winning record over every other conference in footbal, and he spoke about how he plans to change that persona. As much as we hate USC, I'm glad for the Pac-10 because I believe this guy will do great things for their conference. As all of us know, better competition breeds champions. Good luck to the Pac-10 as a whole.

Just wanted to say that after watching his interview with Jim Rome, he seems like a perfect fit for their conference. He seems like a young guy with great ideas and he understands the public's perception of their conference. I only wish great things for the Pac 10 because everone knows better competition only breeds greater achievements. Good luck to the Pac 10...with the exception of F-usc :spank: :spank:..Just joking.
