Do you guys thing Devin White is as good against the run as Kendell Beckwith was?

This isn't going to be a popular opinion, but White is more athletic and makes bigger plays, though if you watch him he does occasionally get caught up in traffic and gets walled out of plays. Beckwith from my memory never got blocked and was also an elite tackler. So idk maybe.

Overall yes. I think Beckwith was more of a thumper and probably better at the point of attack.

But, the way White goes sideline to sideline is unmatched.

KB was an insane talent and nearly unblockable. I'm not sure if he matched DW sideline to sideline but he was a bigger thumper.

MInter was a monster, I personally liked Deion Jones best

I know this wasn't your exact question, but if we're just going with upside, White probably has more athleticism. Ad that's no knock on Beckwith, who's a great athlete as well. Devin is just that talented.

But, in terms of instincts and sure tackling, I think Kendell was a better all around player at this stage. Devin can be a bit of a kamikaze out there, at times.

If we're rating our best linebackers at LSU, period, I'm going with Debo. He was downright electric, and a true game changer. It's sad that he was wasted for the first three years. I never could understand that.
