It’s possible one of the Freshman come in and are immediately a game changer, but I’d try to find a proven WR1 if possible.

The more, the better. Can't focus on one when there are several to defend

We need a number 1 receiver badly… could be Hilton. Could be one of the freshman

They need one. Unless they're absolutely sure that they have that guy in the building, then they need to go hunting for him.

Maybe. But i do think we need that type of player. So we have to be aggressive. If you’re a good WR and you come to LSU you will get to the league.

Perkins should be fast enough for that.
I’m convinced he didn’t listen to the coaching staff or couldn’t understand the defense, so he just did what he wanted and banked on athleticism being enough.
Blake Baker isn’t retarded. Any DC with a brain would know where HP fits.

You are asking the wrong question. Why would we not try to get one? It’s better to have one than not have one. I watched Lacy drop too many passes this year. We need that alpha receiver who wants the ball and can catch.

If a proven WR1 is available, he can go to any "good program" and make the league.
We have so many more needs that another receiver will likely be viewed as a luxury so I doubt we throw a ton of money at one.
The good news is Daniels will probably return and can be that guy.

They had lacy this yr and went and got daniels for 400k.
Now they won't have lacy.
Anderson is a beast but he is good as that 2nd option.

I don't think this board is referring to someone like Daniels when they're saying "proven WR1."
I could see them getting a similar guy this offseason as well, just assumed we were talking a higher echelon player.

Yea what im saying is we may not land a Keion Coleman but we should be looking for another guy who can be an X and come in and be reliable.

Plus we have Kyle Parker
Posted on 12/1/24 at 8:06 pm to LSUPilot07
What we NEED, desperateluy, are OL and interior DL.
Posted on 12/1/24 at 8:07 pm to LSUPilot07
We need a #1 in lots of positions....
Posted on 12/1/24 at 8:14 pm to LSUPilot07
We need a #1 at every position on the field Next year.

What did the elite offenses Burrow and Daniels have? Burrow had 3 really good WR’s and Daniels had 2 really good WR’s. This team has 2 above average WR’s and the rest are just average. So, the answer is absolutely yes.

I don’t thinks WR is a high priority. CJ, Anderson, and Hilton will make a great receiver group. I think safety, CB, DL, OL, and QB (if Nuss leaves) will be higher priorities.

2 safeties are the most pressing need. After that it is all debatable.
