16 wins in SEC play?
How many in Hoover to solidify host?

Probably have to get to the semis to feel really comfortable.

Going to be the same as basketball. Nobody gives a shite about conference tournaments.

IMO - not yet
YTenn, Arky, and A&M are locks to host. Auburn and us - TBD.

I just don’t see how not after taking this series. Vandy’s RPI is 3. 16 is supposedly the number.
NCAA loves money and they know what a regional at the Box would bring in.

Finish off Vandy and get to finals in Hoover…that’s my guess

I think we need to sweep for a chance. Getting swept by Ole Miss killed us.

I actually think 16-14 SEC means we host, though at least one win in Hoover would really nail it down.

We hosting after winning this series. That was my understanding goin in

I definitely don't think it's guaranteed, but I do think at this point it's very likely. If we win tomorrow, that's big and almost on it's own would likely seal it. The tourney may not be as 'important', but running off some wins in that will only help. I'm actually kind of interested to see how Johnson handles the SEC tourney, especially with this pitching staff, but also just in general. I think we got rather spoiled by Mainieri almost always having us play really well in the SEC tournament, but with the new staff they may handle it differently. Though it's not ultimately that important, I always liked showing out in the SEC tourney. Once you get deep into the tourney you really have to start relying on more guys than you do on a regular weekend, so it's a good chance to get them some experience not only against good competition, but typically against teams who are in the same boat so it doesn't have to be lopsided.

I think a lot will depend on how tomorrow plays out for a number of teams ahead of LSU in the RPI. There are 5 teams ahead of LSU at .500 or worse in the conference from the SEC and ACC. Right now, I would say that LSU would get to host ahead of those teams and 15-14 Florida, but if some of those teams win and LSU loses, that could flip.
At #24, LSU would need to jump 8 teams. In addition to those 6, they have a good chance of hosting ahead of Dallas Baptist, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss. On the flip side, Arkansas and maybe one of the Big 12 teams behind LSU might be ahead in line to host. I’d say LSU is right on the cut line at the moment.
National Seeds: Tennessee, Oregon St, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Stanford, Miami and Louisville/Notre Dame/Virginia
Definitely ahead of LSU:
11) Texas A&M
12) Oklahoma St
13) Oregon
14) Auburn
15) Texas
In contention for last spot:
(Team, RPI, Conference Record)
LSU, #24, 16-13
TCU, #35, 16-8
Vandy, #3, 14-15
Florida, #14, 15-14
Wake, #15, 14-14-1
Ga So., #7, 22-7
DBU, #10, 11-9
USM, #17, 22-7
Probably out of contention:
Georgia, #16, 14-15
UNC, #20, 14-15
Ga Tech, #23, 14-15
FSU, #27, 15-14
Oklahoma, #33, 14-8
TX Tech, #36, 14-8

Just looked up the last 2 postseasons for a bit of reference. Both 2019 and 2021 had 6 SEC host. 16 wins being the lowest host in 2019 and 17 in 2021.
Of course every year is different but being 5th in SEC with 16 or 17 wins is a very strong possibility to host.
