I keep hearing this bullshite. “But we’re so talented!” Are we? Florida State has been in the cellar for years:

Their QB is better than ours
Their WR is making one handed catches for TDs while ours is 20lbs overweight and dropping balls.
Our center can’t snap the ball with consistency
We can’t catch a punt
Cant kick a ball in the air
I couldn’t even name our RB since we didn’t run the ball more than a handful of times.
We had to poach a QB from Arizona State

Yet....we’re sooooo talented.

There are 6 or 7 who will get looks in the NFL, that aren't true freshman. The issue there is 4 of those are WRs.

The rest are bottom tier SEC talent, at best. Some of the starters are not even SEC caliber players.

Like I stated in another post, the mere fact that we have guys from McNeese, ULL, Florida International, East Tennessee State, etc, speaks volumes about our lack of talent.

Something occurred to me last night as I was pouting. We may have superior athletes but that’s not the same as superior players.

The o line was neglected by O the linebacker recruiting was god awful the last couple of years. The secondary is not talented. The WRs are talented along with the DLine. Lots of issues

But how do you explain three lineman getting drafted last year making a NFL team and two of them starting? This was the worst Oline in history. The last two years we had the most players drafted after UGA and Bama. We are losing so much from this team to the NFL after this year. Something is seriously off. Last night it seemed like FSU coaches could scheme and hide their weaknesses and our coaches couldn't.

That’s the reason everyone is so worried

Well, the coach did nothing to dissuade this notion.

A guard from Tennessee tech and USL safety walked right in and won starting jobs if that tells you where LSU is.

Filled the roster in desperation with 2 star players from low level programs. And IT SHOWS big time.

How do you see this going:

"Reporter: Coach, how's the team looking going into the season?"

"Kelly: I'm going to be honest Bob, we aren't very good."

Seriously? Get your head out of your arse man. No coach is going to go out there and tell everyone where they have issues and that they suck.

The best player on the field last night came from Albany.

Albany.

How many players are still on this team from the 2019/2020 recruiting classes?

We have some potentially elite D-linemen who still aren't playing up to their potential, an elite All-American WR who just had a terrible game and what looked like effort issues, but the rest of the team is likely just competitive talent right now who need a coaching edge. We have some other potentially elite WRs, but we need the O-line and QB to do their part for them to shine.

The cornerbacks did a good job for the most part, but our LBs did next to nothing and got torched on 3rd down over the middle (not sure what's up with Baskerville, but we need him at LB). I'd be more concerned if Kelly had inherited Les Miles' talent and they looked like that. We have more new guys playing than I can ever remember, so there are going to be some growing pains.

How about…”We have plenty of room for improvement” instead of endless sunshine pumping. But you keep schlopin up that Kelly schlong. You obviously like the flavor of stale offensive philosophies.

If you look at 24/7 we are like the 7th or 8th most talented team. However when we dig in the talent isn’t dispersed properly and we have major holes.

So yes we have talent, we also don’t thanks to O and Pom. Kelly addressed some of it as best he could in portal and recruiting. However, he hired a shite OC that doesn’t mesh with our current talent. If we had stock piles of talent on the oline Denbrock was a good hire. We don’t and Kelly knew that from film. You need a more creative quick hit play caller for the talent we have. Instead we have a oc built like les miles but our team is more talent on wr than in trenches. Kelly should have made a better oc hire.
