You can stay home if you don't like it.

Why wouldn't they? I believe the point of the song is sending your love toward Baton Rouge regardless of where you are...

besides, they played it in Green Bay

Seeing how it is in NOLA just play the latest hip-hop to echo of the Superdone's shitty acoustics.

Get over your hate for the song. It will forever be a part of LSU pregame festivities. If you cannot accept that, find a new team and school to support.

Can we get a break from "I'm From Louisiana" since the game is in a foreign country.

That's how phones work, you can CALL Baton Rouge from anywhere!!! The Superdome has new super loud speakers too!

It's not a bad country song; but we don't have any New Orleans flavor in the stadium...you don't think the Meters or the Neville Brothers doing "Fire on the Bayou" wouldn't rock Tiger Stadium or the Dome? Dr. John? Galactic? Trombone Shorty? Louisiana has the deepest musical tradition of any state, and we repeat the same rap and rock anthems of every stadium ... LINK

Now if the students can work in a sufficiently profane chant...

frick no. Calling Baton Rouge is perfect at fooball games. The problem with it is they play it a million times at smaller sporting events to get the crowd going which kills it

Been saying they should either go back to Run by Pink Floyd or if they want something a little more modern, Boom by P.O.D..

I mean the chorus from Boom is ...

Boom, here comes the Boom, here come the boys from the south.
