never???

What if we go 10-2 every year, but each year those two losses are blowout losses to Bama and another West team?

No hot seat, ever?

More kickers on scholarship than inside linebackers. 9 offensive lineman on the roster rather than 16. No viable SEC QB. Awful kickers. Little talent or depth on the D line.

Dumpster fire of a roster. Terrible management of Miles last two or three years Very unhappy fan base. Very vocal negative group that still hurts recruiting.

So,other than that nothing.

The idea that Orgeron is or would be on the hot seat for a 10-2 year in 2019 is laughably ridiculous.

Literally none of this is true.

lol at all these idiots that would still have Mark Richt be there coach if they were UGA fans.

the same year LSU tried to fire Miles, UGA actually DID fire Richt...after going 10-3!

How did that work out for them?

well after taking his lumps in 2016, Smart has now gotten to a national title game and a sugar bowl in his first 3 years and based on UGAs recruiting doesn't look to be letting up any time soon. I wouldnt be surprised if 12-0 bama is playing 12-0 UGA in December.

-Devin White and Kendell Beckwith were our only scholarship ILB’s, and Kendell was a converted DL, we had 4 kickers on the roster (Gonsoulin, Culp, Delahoussaye, Gamble)

-Etling was barely an SEC caliber player, Harris wasn’t even an ACC caliber player

-We had OL, but a bunch of them transferred out after ‘16

-We had some DL, but they were mostly
inexperienced

-see above kickers and tell me if any of those are SEC level. The answer is not really.

It certainly wasn’t a ready made championship team

correct.

I live in Atlanta and saw the Richt era up close. Mark Richt was Les Miles. Good person, nice guy, great recruiter, but always seemed to drop a game or two that he shouldn't. UGA was very good most years, but not great.

And kudos to UGA for finally firing him. He was always going to be in the 2-3 loss range. That's good, but UGA wanted more, and rightly so, given their resources. And they hired the right guy who quickly elevated their program.

what the silly hot seat thing does is shackle a coaches recruiting , and give opponets a leg up on their recruiting . while it hurts the purpose that it is usually intended for which is winning for your team !

sounds like for the most part we are in agreement

Here's to hoping for 12-0, though I think 11-1 is more likely.

I think some people on this board greatly underestimate the amount of things in football beyond a team or coach’s control

They don’t seem to be beyond Nick Saban’s control.

How many tossup games has LSU had against bama since Jan of 2012? Though bama has won every single game, they have not dominated each contest. At least 3 games LSU could have won had they made 1 or 2 plays that they failed to execute

False! They are beating the shite out of us. They’ve shut us out twice. That 10-0 game was barely competitive. It surely wasn’t a tossup. We never threatened to score, and our defense, which struggled mightily, was beginning to fold.

You are asking for failure/disappointment if you compare yourself to Saban

Saban’s run is meant for the history books. It cannot be replicated

bullshite. It is a replica of others who have gone before him. Bear Bryant did it at the same institution.

If you think Saban is God-like, how about Dabo? He seems to have quite a few seasons in which “things out of the coach’s control” don’t ruin it.
