Yeah with the context being that the two losses are to some asswipes like Rice and whatever other losers we play this year.

Off topic?...BS...hot seat means the possibility of getting fired right? Well....news flash....do that for 10-2 and nobody will want to work for you.

I’m one of Os biggest critics and even I say 10-2 in the SECw is good. Especially with a good bowl game and win.

Too many weird things can happen to call for a coach’s head at 10-2.... unless it’s an embarrassing loss to Bama and another Troy debacle accounting for the 2 losses.

All that said, anything more than 2 losses tells us he will never get it done and the seat should be scorching.

We had a top offense in 2013 and our defense was average. Which by LSU standards is bad. We lost to a 7-5 Ole Miss Team. It was the start of the spiral.

Sure call it whatever you want buying him a few extra years. At this point it's semantics, because what it seems like your arguing is that O thus far hasn't been as impressive as Miles in his final few years, which is flat out wrong.

He brought in a damn good class in 2014, some sure fire studs, along with squandered talent and guys who should have stayed in school for one more year if Les's recruiting tactic wasn't "in and out in 3 years".

10-2 is the bare minimum that needs to occur this season.

And those 2 losses had better be competitive.

If this team gets blown out by Bama again and loses some other bs game like aTm then we are just more of the same.

LSU's goal is to win the division, conference and national title.

You aren't trending in the right direction if you are continually blown out by perennial CFB contenders.

Same if you are losing to teams you should beat.

i admire your optimism and i'm not saying it's impossible, but Brennan has not shown anything close to that

Yeah, barring injury I don’t see Brennan ever being a started unless it’s a stopgap because a young guy just isn’t ready.

Well said.

Orgeron has no benefit of the doubt to make you feel that 10-2 is just a bounce of the ball away from 11-1 or 12-0.

If O were to go 10-2 this year and win a bowl game to get to 11-2 you’d probably get the feeling that this season was...fine...and that O has maxed out his potential.

Think of it like when the warriors fired Marc Jackson or when Toronto fires their coach last year and wins a title this year.

No one is saying O is a bad coach for going 10-2, but that he’s not the guy that will get LSU back to the top of the mountain.

LOL, so, you've decided that if O goes 11-2 in his 3rd full season as head coach at LSU, he's reached his maximum potential? So for you, if he doesn't win it this year, he likely never will?

Did you think Nick Saban had reached his maximum potential after his 3rd season after going 8-5?

No! 10-2 didn’t put Miles on the chopping block. His pig headedness and stagnant offense did

. 9-3( with rent a win cancelled) did against the number 5 schedule in the country.

So not winning the West is good? Almost four years into his tenure with no hardware to show for it would be good?

so what do you call 2017?

2nd most nfl draft picks. 4 losses. 1st ooc regular season home loss in how long?
then backed that up with a 3 loss season while also not being competitive against bama and a shite offense.

sounds just like the last few miles years that youre validly shitting on.

Saban won the SEC in his second season. Winning hardware buys a coach time and leeway.

9-3 should get him fired.

10-2 and keep your job.

So much chest beating over the 10, and so little scrutiny over the 2.

I don’t think 10-2 would or should put him on the hot seat. I would be disappointed, though. I don’t know when our roster will be loaded like this any time soon and there’s always the question of “when will Aranda move on”. I think this is the year to win a championship of some sort if it’s going to happen for the next several years.

If Bama beats us 49-0, an argument could be made.

I don’t think record alone will determine hot seat.

Woodward is an LSU guy who wants championships. He didn’t hire O. If he believes O can bring championships regardless of the win total this season, O is safe.

10-2 but doubts in his mind if O is a championship caliber HC?

At this point we gotta trust Woodward. Regardless.

Agreed. Thank God Woodward is in charge now.
