he was talking about a national seed which usually means top 8 ..if he was talking top 16 he would say hosting a regional
They started ranking all 16 regional hosts as a national seed in 2018. Originally the top 8 seeded teams who would host a Super Regional were considered the "National Seeds."
So amongst LSU fans, when you hear National Seed, they're usually referring to the top 8 seeds.

IF it happens, and I don’t think it will, but if it does it’s human error. These committees take away from on field accomplishments by making their decisions superior to actual results.
The CFP committee is one of the biggest crocks of shite alive. And it’s in place to eliminate actual results and a certain conference dominating the rankings. I know last year the sec in football was a bruised turd overall but historically they did this to stop the sec from dominating the results driven rankings and now we use human analysis.

I doubt we get more than 4 out of sec in top 8. Right now probably Texas and ark guaranteed.....2 more coming from vandy, ga, and lsu. I don't know how the brackets play out but of both of those teams get hot in trny and we one and done...who knows

Seems like a lot of folks are losing their positive regard for Hunt. I listened for a while and he was ok. Comparing him to other BR media talking heads is not much of a standard though.
His latest take about maybe not being a national seed is an opinion, I’ll just say that bc he seems like a decent guy. I’m not sure you’d find any reputable sources out there saying LSU is anything but a lock to be a top 8 national seed at this point and likely top 4-5 at that.

It does not count. Last year LSU went to the Tournament with a 13-17 record. And left the Tournament with a 13-17 record. Now wins and loses improved but not in the SEC.

If it’s close… lsu will get the nod over some team that can sit 1k fans.

5 is the expected outcome. Some have even said 6 but I’m not sure about that one. 4 would be very surprising. I expect 6 before 4 would happen.

You are talking out of your arse. As someone said there were 5 SEC national seeds last year and the conference is stronger this year. The SEC is getting 5 and they aren’t leaving out the conference’s #3 team in LSU.
