[quote]He had 2 first downs before his first interception.

That's twice as many as JJ had in the entire first half against Alabama by himself. Oh, and JL didn't even play the full half.

as bad as jj was in the bcs game(and he was freakin awful) that damn jl was 5 times worse dude in spot duty. JL can't handle a pash rush plain and simple.

And it was handled so masterfully by JJ.

Actually it was one. Unless you were counting the 1st down where JJ ran for the 1st on 3rd and 1.

I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ASKED THIS BEEN WAITING FOR ONE OF YOU TO SHOW UP. WHAT WE SAW WAS THE jj SHOW FOR THE PRO SCOUTS . DON'T YOU THINK THEY WERE IMPRESSED ?? JJ cannot say and neither can you that JJ did not get his chance . He was worse than he was in the 1st game that you referred to . He was JJ at his best want proof ? I think Coach Miles got tired , and said OK you want him . Well you got him . Win or lose ! J J at his best BEST

I'm not sure where I defended JJ, made excuses for JJ, or said that JJ should have remained in the game. I just said I don't think it would have mattered and that I'm glad they're both gone but wish both of them the best.

I remember his first year .. lots of INTs, even Pick 6s

I remember this year, before Al, one of the most efficient QBs in the SEC.

It may not be convenient for some of the JJ disciples, but people learn and improve.

How would JL have done ?
I do not know and those of you pro-JJ are only guessing.
The whole point is that, we gave up before trying.
That's the unforgivable part.

Your thread was based on a false premise then. You're assuming that the people calling for Lee thought Lee would've won the game for us, and that simply isn't true.

I would have gathered we stood a better chance with Mett but I seriously doubt he was prepared at all for this game.

Lee was the victim of poor center execution, poor oline pass blocking execution, and a bad no-call on a roughing the QB hit, all against the best defense in the country. He finished the season as the #2 pass efficiency QB in the SEC, and for good reason. He was much improved and should have remained an integral part of the offense. A quick-release QB with good receivers at least gives you a fighting chance in a game like Monday night. The LSU offense was better when Lee was the primary QB and JJ the sy specialist. Period.

Don't know. He never got a chance. Maybe we could have won it.

We sure as hell know that JJ wouldn't get it done.

Nobody has said "If Lee were put in, we wouldve won!"
So go frick yourself. What everybody IS saying, is that JJ could not have been any worse. We were doing absolutely NOTHING!!! So why not AT LEAST TRY to see what the other 5 year, partial starter QB couldve done????
We quit, and that was clear. Thats why people are pissed, and they should be
Yep.

At 12-0 it was panic time. It could have been J Lee, Mett or even just snap it to R Shep and run wildcat. It didnt matter who JJ was replaced with. JJ obviously didnt have it and we needed to take chances down the field throwing the ball at that point. It wasnt about J Lee....it was that JJ was the hideous one and ANYTHING was better than continuing to send him out there. Bama was solid. I give them lots of credit. But they are laughing their butts off all the way home because we made ZERO adjustments and kept playing as if we quit or that we were so arrogant that eventually we'd run the ball on them.
And yep.

And none of that can be applied for JJ in the national championship?

Would have like to have seen this during the second half when nothing was working. Especially if he is going to be throwing off his front foot. Not just a few drives. At least a full quarter to see if he could get his rhythm.

Miles didn't hesitate to pull him either. The same should have also been true of Jefferson. See the difference?

bottom line is, both QB's perform better in a relief role vs starter

Ok, just to make it clear: a lot of us aren't pissed because we thought that Lee would come in and 100% win the game for us. It would have been nice, but that's not what the anger stems from. It stems from the fact that Miles didn't budge on making any changes whatsoever. He didn't even so much as try to change up the qb. Not even for a drive. Remember the Florida game last year in Gainesville? Remember how effective that was that night? Who's to say that same thing couldn't have worked on Monday?

You might have this fantasy in your head of what you think people are angry at, but you are obviously misguided on that. Just because you think it, doesn't make it so.

And one more thing, I'm not buying that Bama was unstoppable. I'm not buying that because JJ couldn't get it done that nobody could get it done. That's bullshite. That defies any logic or strategy at all. A few simple adjustments from a coordinator that knows what he's doing and in our case, a qb change, could have easily stopped what they were doing. That's how the whole thing works with coordinators and strategy.

How did McCarron look in the first game. Coaching can change a players confidence. Which of Lee's or Jefferson's coaches during their career can instill confidence, in your opinion?
