Do any of you remember how awful Lee looked against Bama in game 1?

He was hideous and looked very intimidated by the Bama pass rush. What makes any of us think it would have been different this time? Give some credit to Bama for having an incredible defense.

Sure it would have been nice to find out but I think deep down we all know it wouldn't have mattered if JJ had been pulled and Lee put in.

JJ and Lee are both below average quarterbacks. I appreciate what each of them gave to LSU but I'm glad this is over.

Do you remember Lee throwing 16 INTS in 2008? Well, he threw 3 this season, and almost set records for attempts without an INT. So things change, and people will wonder "what if" for a long time.

Nope, I'm 99% sure we still would've lost. But it's frustrating that we weren't even willing to try.

And the QB situation was a microcosm of the entire night, and our complete unwillingness to change gameplans. That's why everyone is mad - not b/c they think we would've won with Lee in the game.

No, thats why the majority of the people that are screaming for Lee are complete idiots.

He had 2 first downs before his first interception.

That's twice as many as JJ had in the entire first half against Alabama by himself. Oh, and JL didn't even play the full half.

Enjoy your lies.

I remember quite well. But by the late second quarter on Monday night, would you prefer a certain loss by 20, or an outside chance of a comeback that also carried the chance of a possible loss by 40?

He didn't look as bad as Jefferson looked last Monday for four full quarters or as bad as Jefferson looked in the first half agaisnt UGA.

The way the coaching staff was calling the game, it probably wouldn't have mattered if Lee came in.

People are just asking for a chance. Lee never came in, so we will never know if he could have made a difference.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that both JJ and JL are not great QBs.

What exactly did I lie about? At the point he was pulled he was 3-7 for 24 yards and 2 interceptions. Is that good?

At 12-0 it was panic time. It could have been J Lee, Mett or even just snap it to R Shep and run wildcat.

It didnt matter who JJ was replaced with. JJ obviously didnt have it and we needed to take chances down the field throwing the ball at that point. It wasnt about J Lee....it was that JJ was the hideous one and ANYTHING was better than continuing to send him out there.

Bama was solid. I give them lots of credit. But they are laughing their butts off all the way home because we made ZERO adjustments and kept playing as if we quit or that we were so arrogant that eventually we'd run the ball on them.

It's not about putting Lee in.

It's the fact that LSU won game 1 because Bama wasn't prepared for 2 QBs, so besides sticking with an offense that was putting up points, Miles turned to Jefferson who struggled to get the offense going.

Our offense has no passing threat with Jefferson, Bama prepared to shut down the running game, which they did. At least with Lee - there would have been a threat of a passing attack. Why not make Bama prepare for both QBs?

I agree that it probably would have resulted in an internception or Lee being sacked...but it would have been worth a shot - even for only one series.
What are the chances of an on sides kick or fake field goal trickery or any other off the wall play - basically not very good but it is better then continuing to do the same thing that obviously is not working at all.
I would have like to have seen either Lee come in or Jefferson air it out from the shotgun and let Rueben or Odell go up and try to make a play down field.

you mean in the first half?

I get your on team jefferswag, but there is no defense for his second atrocious performance in postseason play...in a row.

Attempting to chop down another player won't help him.

Nobody has said "If Lee were put in, we wouldve won!"
So go frick yourself. What everybody IS saying, is that JJ could not have been any worse. We were doing absolutely NOTHING!!! So why not AT LEAST TRY to see what the other 5 year, partial starter QB couldve done????
We quit, and that was clear. Thats why people are pissed, and they should be

Every dog has its day.

Lee could have been mentally set to chuck that ball but we stuck with the one we know wasn't.

I don't think people really think it would have made any difference. I think people are upset at the coaches for not even trying. I would like to know what plays were being called then changed at the line by JJ. I saw him making calls on almost every play. That told me the coaches were not doing their job. I don't know what we could have done to make it better, but not trying to do something just proved to me that the coaches didn't know what to do.

Do you remember what JJ looked like against Georgia? Do you remember what JJ looked like against Nov 5 Bama? Do you remember what JJ looked like in 2010? There is no reason to dis Lee when he didn't even take a snap in this game. BTW he produced more in the first Bama game than JJ did this game.

I'm not on team Jefferswag by any means. I just feel like the end result wouldn't have been any different and as I said in the original post I'm glad both of them are done.

You are probably right, but why the favoritism?? Why pull Lee when he plays bad, but not JJ. Doesn't make sense. Something happened to put Lee on Miles' shite list. I just wish I knew what it was......

Saban's game plan in the first game was to stop Lee, Jefferson was successful. Prep for this game was how to stop Jefferson, maybe Lee would have had success. Don't forget how well Lee played against Alabama in 2010. If not for Lee we probably lose the 2010 game.
