re: Do any of you remember how awful Lee looked against Bama in game 1?

What exactly did I lie about? At the point he was pulled he was 3-7 for 24 yards and 2 interceptions. Is that good?
Here ya go sport
quote:
L 1-10 L27 Spencer Ware rush over right tackle for 5 yards to the LS32
L 2-5 L32 Jarrett Lee sideline pass complete to Odell Beckham for 13 yards to the LS45, 1ST DOWN LS
L 1-10 L45 Jarrett Lee LF pass complete to Rueben Randle for 6 yards to the UA49
L 2-4 A49 Spencer Ware rush over left end for 3 yards to the UA46
L 3-1 A46 Jo. Jefferson rush quarterback sneak for 2 yards to the UA44, 1ST DOWN
L 1-10 A44 Jarrett Lee sideline pass incomplete to Rueben Randle.
L 2-10 A44 Spencer Ware rush over right guard for 2 yards to the UA42
L 3-8 A42 Jarrett Lee sideline pass incomplete to Rueben Randle
L 4-8 A42 Brad Wing punt 37 yards to the
L 1-10 L33 Spencer Ware rush over left tackle for 2 yards to the LS35
L 2-13 L30 Jarrett Lee screen pass complete to Russell Shepard for 5 yards to the LS35
L 3-8 L35 Jarrett Lee slant pass intercepted by Robert Lester at the UA47
Now show me 3 for 7, and 2 ints. Because thats the point Lee was benched for JJ. And that was after JJ had already entered the game on the 5th play
Miles fricked the teams chemistry, and is getting what he deserves

Yes, I remember it was not as bad as JJ looked on Monday.

Wtf are you talking about? Are you saying that wasn't Lee's stats from the game? I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Imagine this, you are Lee, you know your coach is just dying to find a reason to replace you with JJ. Then add the pressure of Alabama's defense knowing any mistake and your career is over. How would you play?

I THINK LEE IS THE BETTER QB. Thought he was last year and thought he was this year. You happy? Would we of won with Lee in the game? I don't know, but I sure as hell would of liked to find out.
At some point Monday night it was evident we were not getting it done with JJ, and that meant to me unless something different was tried we would lose.
So even if JL did rather poorly the last time against Bama, he would have been a chance to do something different and maybe have a better chance to win the game.

So you're telling me Lee is fragile and doesn't handle pressure well?

What makes any of us think it would have been different this time?
Who knows.
But what was very apparent from about mid 2nd quarter, was we were not going to score any points with jefferson at QB, so there was absolutely nothing to lose.
Jefferson had 83 yards passing in his final 2 games...COMBINED!
THere was no reason to not let Lee have his shot in the 3rd quarter.

Again, to clarify my original post. I am not a JJ supporter and I agree that Lee should have been given the chance. I'm only asking if any of you really feel as though he could have been successful and my vote is no.

I sure hope u not talking about me cause i'm definitely not a JJ lover. Ya'll fools hyping up JL and throwing his stats out there but ain't man enough 2 say we would have beat bama with JL at QB.
On November 5, putting JJ in was the right call. Bama was clearly not prepared for his style of play. However, this is also true of the game on January 9. Bama was prepared for JJ, JJ was making horrendous mistakes and JL should have been put in the game.
You can't say that pulling JL was a good idea on November 5 because JL had turned the ball over twice against BAMA and the offense wasn't moving the ball and then turn around and say the exact opposite as it applies to JJ on January 9. To do so is complete and utter BS.

You think he played well and looked comfortable the time he played in the 1st Bama game?

It matters because he looked terrible and you said it is utter bullshite. Just hoping you would explain why.

That is the play by play until he was pulled for JJ.
I see 6 pass atts: 3 catches, 2 inc, 1 int
That was FAR FROM AWFUL
Monday, and Ga was AWFUL

I am telling you the game is tough enough without support from your own coach. Don't forget the season he had to this point and all Miles wants to do is replace him at his first chance.

At 12-0 it was panic time. It could have been J Lee, Mett or even just snap it to R Shep and run wildcat.
Really? You've watched too much TV because no real football coach would just start throwing crap on a wall to see what sticks. You have a plan that you think will work, and you believe in that plan. Just see Saban on Nov. 5.

Lee being the starter for majority of the season had EVERYTHING to lose that first game against BAMA. He probably thought that this game was his defining moment and he had to be a star. In the NCG, Lee had nothing to lose! I can't rewrite recent history, but my heart feels that Lee would have given it his all if given the chance. I'm no Lee or Jefferson supporter, but his body language spoke volumes this year while standing on the sidelines suited up. Lee would have given anything to be given a shot to save his Tigers. That's just my thought.

No, thats why the majority of the people that are screaming for Lee are complete idiots.
You're an idiot for not seeing the double standard.

And then he was put back in and promptly threw another int before being permanately pulled. Are you just going to leave that part out?
