He showed incredible ability and talent his entire true freshmen year showcasing why he was a 5 star and no.1 cb out of HS. In year wirh Delane off to the nfl he’ll have big shoes to fill. We gotta dog on the other side of him with woodland but when we face guy like cam Coleman I assume that’ll be dj Pickett’s matchups.

What do y’all think we see out of Pickett this year ? I expect an all sec/ all American type season and for him be the next great lsu cb and be one of the best corners in CFB he has that type of ability. Excited to see what he looks like after another offseason with Raymond.

Jim Thorpe winner and Heisman finalist.

Is that too much to ask?

With how thin we are in the CB room, we need he and Woodland to stay healthy. DJ showed a lot of promise last year as a freshman. I expect him to make a significant leap this season and become a household name, much like the Pat Pete's, Mathieu's, and Stingley's in years past.

Besides the UH game where 2 LA wrs for houston looked like dogs, he was about as good as any freshman we've seen there. Thats saying something with pp7, tm7, and greedy (rs fr I think). He was left on an island from day 1 too. Stingley maybe the only one who had a better fr campaign.

Expect him to be a Thorpe finalist

Being an ALL-SEC type player should be the goal with All-American being the goal for him for 2027. If he reaches All-American this season then that is exceeding expectations.

Its still unreal how tall and lengthy he is.

Kid was so talented he forced out a very solid player who started a lot of games for us in Ashton stamps. From day 1 we had him on an island covering guys like Bryant Wesco and he shut them down. Outside the Houston game he was virtually a locksmith all season. With another offseason to get even stronger I’m exciting to see what he has in store for year 2. Being one of the best corners in CFB should be the expectation

To be as tall as he is but still transition as effortless as he does is ridiculous he moves like a 5’10 corner at 6’4.

Has a very successful NFL career if he can maximize his length by getting stronger so he can dominate in the press.

I need Pickett to Pick-it at least 10 times. He's gonna make a diff in several games.

He was pretty damn good last yr.

I'm sure he will take another step this yr.

If that pick 6 counts who knows whether BK actually gets fired. We would have won the game.

Ideally, he only gets about 3 int or so, because you just don't throw to his side of the field.

Which means Woodland should have a lot of work.
