Best 3 down back in the SEC.
Does it all well. Very well.
Check down has been a huge weapon.

He's like the running backs we used to have. And he already stated he is coming back next year.

I don't really see anyone talk about him outside of LSU circles. He's been very impressive and I think he's the reason the offense flows so well. He keeps the offense on schedule, hasn't fumbled, never seems to lose yardage, blocks well be it pass blocking or lead blocking when someone else is rushing, and now getting more involved as a safety outlet.

He's just very solid at everything about the position. A QB's best friend

I just wish they'd run him more north to south. I hate the counter type runs. That's not really playing to his physical running style.

Never goes down on first contact, has excellent vision, good blocker, catches the ball well, has an excellent sudden step. He has it all. Pay that man his money. He and Harris were absolute steals for Kiffin in the portal.

BK gives us soft after soft RB play. kiffin comes after a 3 week evaluation to put a roster together and already has a guy as the best RB we've ended up with since Clyde.

Love a patient runner that’s hard to take down. Don’t need him to try and break a 50yd TD, running into the back of the line before a hole develops or try to take everything outside relying on speed.

Find the holes. Be physical and keep avg 4 yards a carry. You’ll get yours and that’s a promise.

This is really just because he doesn’t put up crazy stats every game. But anyone that actually watches can tell he’s really good. I can’t think of any big mistakes he’s had at all this year. Maybe a couple missed blocks? Has he fumbled at all?

He had been a pleasant surprise. He definitely needs to be a priority to bring back.

He kinda reminds me of Jacob Hester. Hard, consistent runner always fighting for yards. Great receiver. Probably the most reliable player on the field.

Dude is legit. You cant get a clean hit on him in the open field. He is shifty in the soup and will get you 3 yds. He is like Hester in guaranteed 3 yds but does it in a diff way.

Id love to see more RB toss and screens

Dude is a solid player but no breakaway speed. He is reliable and better than the other RBs.

I made that comparison earlier and got downvoted lol. Hester was a heavier, stockier guy and Jones has a good cut move that Hester didn't have. But other than that he does remind me of Hester a lot. Doesn't fumble, involved in the pass game, can pass block and lead block for others and gets tough yards to keep the offense on schedule, neither were home run hitters but bell cows and very durable guys over the course of a game and so far the season. Will be 1000 yard rushers in the SEC and reliable when you need some tough yards to move the sticks. I like the comparison.
